Hoping to get the year 1 ACSI uniform before leaving for holiday.
May I know where can I find the unform list for ACSI?
https://www.schooluniforms.sg/acs-independent-11
Which ones are required and worn more frequently?
thanks

I am thinking of engaging a private tutor to help my son to improve his reading.
Any recommendation?

Thanks. I just read that ACSP will continue to admit Pr 1 boys in 2030 at Barker but it will be a smaller cohort.
I wonder why didn't ACS Board decide to just move ACSJ from Winstedt to Tengah instead of moving ACSP and then move ACSJ to take the Barker premises.
The prestige of ACS brand, as an elite school may no longer be the same because the social demographic profile of students joining ACS Barker Sec eventually will be different due to new school location.
ACS Tengah will certainly become a very popular school for parents hoping to send their children to study amongst elites (TBIYTB). And the best part is they don’t even need to study very hard for psle because affiliation COP for ACS Barker is actually lower than many neighborhood sec school.

Some data on average IB scores in some of the IB schools in 2020 and 2021 and they are impressive.
Local schools offering IB (2020 results)
ACS Indep: 41.8 (#1 in the world for year 2020)
SJI : 40.3 (2020)
SOTA : (2020): 38.7
International schools
SJII : 38.0 (2020)
HCIS : 37.0 (2020)
IB School Ranking (2021 results)
Rank\tIB School\tAverage IB Diploma Score
1\tAnglo-Chinese School (Independent)\t42.70
2\tSt. Joseph’s Institution\t42.10
3\tSchool of the Arts, Singapore\t41.10
4\tHwa Chong International School\t39.60
5\tSJI International School\t39.30
6\tAnglo-Chinese School (International) Singapore\t39.25
From what I gathered IB and IP or A level are just 2 different paths to eventual tertiary education. For students who prefer local universities or UK, I think IP or mainstream A-level will be more straightforward.
For those who wish to send their children to America, I think IB will be better. I understand many IB students in Singapore also prefer to complete their IB program overseas.
Between Local, UK and USA universities, which would you choose?

So far I have not seen or heard of any Malays or Indian students giving up their own mother tongue language to pursue CL or HCL. Even if it does, it should be a very rare case.
Not sure, but my DD did see Malays and Indians in NYGH uniforms, and also a Ang Mo in class 202 (1 of the GEP class).

Probably u are wrong, there are Malays and Indians in NYGH, although not as much as in RGS.
