Hi Jasmine4, apart from Parkway Centre, does Mr Chok teaches in any other branch?

If there is no change, he should be teaching Secondary 1 to 4 classes at Parkway, Pasir Ris, Toa payoh and AMK.
But if you are looking at Primary 5 & 6, he only offers in Parkway and Pasir Ris
I went to Pasir Ris branch, the counter staff, told me only Mr Ng is teaching Math at the branch and gave me the timing, never mentioned about Mr Chok.

RE: 2013 Sec 1 Discussions
janet_lee88:
Hi Janet-lee88Son in sec 2 only came home early (as in normal dismissal time) today.
tue, thur were for supplementary lessons...Monday was for some project which is ridiculous during this period...Friday for cca. He had no time to finish homework in school as the supplementary lesson starts 30 min after dismissal time...leaving only time for quick bite.
He is getting his homework done now and will need to sleep soon as he has to stay back till 5pm tomorrow.
Looks like I have to write to his teacher about excessive homework given.
My DS also has a lot of project works to hand in this two weeks. On top of that, a few tests a week and a lot of homework.
All the teachers are rushing for time, trying to help them to do revision by giving more homework but they have forgotten that they are having so many subjects. Homework all at once really killing them. But on the other hand,if they don't give those homework, my DS may not start study for his exams on his own. -

Anyone try KTRC in Bedok or Changi? Am considering sending my Pri 5 son for maths tution as he is weak in his maths problem. Appreciate the feedback
You may want to try out Krtc@Parkway Centre. My son has been with Mr Chok since P5, a very dedicated tutor. -

RE: All About Dyslexia
I have just submitted my DD’s dyslexic report to school. The EP recommended the school not to penalised her on the subjects that are not testing on the language.
I guess this is referring to Math. But I am wondering how would that be done as there will be instructions that she is not able to read and as a result not able to do.
Anyone have any idea on how it will be done? -

Hi Dagong, glad to find you hereYY1205:
After the selection test, there will be a camp for the shortlisted applicants for year 1 admission. The interview is for the shortlisted applicants for year 3 admission.
Not really, the Year 1 applicants who are not so \"clear-cut\" cases are called up for interview too. One of my neighbours got called up too last year.
So do you mean those candidates been called up for interview are those not been decided yet after the camp, while those who have been successfully granted a seat after the camp will not be called for an interview?
During the open house, I asked one of the staffs if there is any interview for Year 1 admission. He told me there are only selection test and camp.
There could be interview for those who appeal after PSLE.
pm you

RE: All About Dyslexia
Thanks for all the advices. My dd has just been diagnosed as dyslexia. She is P1. I am thinking of letting her to try out all the subjects as there is no exam in P1 anyway. I may decide a few years later.

PSLE2014:
Phew.. at least not for DS who cannot articulate well during interview. More likely to stammer. Now that I think the interview are for Geppers. Heard from parents that it can be stressful as 3 teachers interviewing these Geppers from different schools as the qns asked can be current affairs !!
Not exactly only Geppers have interview. Many schools conduct interview for the shortlisted applicants. HCI will have interviews for all domains. As for RI, it seems like there is no interview for those who goes by the academic domain. However, I heard from a parent that some years back they did ask some students to go for an interview before they made the final decision. -
RE: All About Dyslexia
I would like to find out what is the reason for getting exemption from Chinese. Is it because the child is weak in the subject or want to concentrate on fewer subjects.
I find that my child is actually better in Chinese than English.
