      awfullyKS:
      Hi hquek and MLJ,

Thanks for the write up about TAS, bcos of your write up, i sent ds for a trial during the weekend and signed up immediately. He really liked the teaching, he found it fun and could understand what was taught very clearly. He also went for their Easter prog also. He was attracted by the worm and he loved the prog. I hear they do free grammar lessons during their community service work, have you sent your child for it? Is it good?
      Hi awfullyKS,

Do you know if this grammar prog is only for TAS students?

      Hi TAS,

I heard good feedback from my friend about your Newspaper analysis class. She was saying her daughter looks forward to every lesson and can even remember exactly what is taught in class. She said you also use the Hard Truths book by Lee Kuan Yew and her dd really like it. I am surprised that children that age can understand the book. Can you tell me more about this class, I am interested to let my child join.

    • RE: How to grow taller???

Exercise really helps-especially basketball, netball. My brother grew from 1.6 m to 1.82 in 2 years (14-16) when he was on his school basketball team.

      Hi TAS,

Any news on other possible dates for Love to Write 2? And what is this Newspaper class? What levels is it suitable for?

    • Any other alternative to govt pri schools?

      Hi parents,

I am a stay home mum who relocated back to singapore 4 years ago. My older 2 are now in primary school and are in a ‘branded’ school (a reputable good school). Although I am a stay home mum, I do not have a lot of time to coach my kids as I have an online business to run as well and also have to look after my mum in law who has some health problems. I thought putting my kids in a reputable school will help make sure tt their learning will be taken care of to a certain extent but I find that this is not the case at all.

I find that the teachers in this school do not teach very well, for my youngest they just write the answers on the board without explaining. For my older one, the teacher teaches but I find the teacher cannot teach the exceptions to the rule well so when the questions are a bit more difficult, my dd has problems.

I have sent my kids to tuition but tuition is only 2 hours a week (at the most) for one subject and I do not have that much time to stretch and teach them.

I have heard many complains about other schools that my friends put their kids in. Seems like the teachers do not really bother to teach very well and those teachers who can teach very well are put in the upper primary best class to produce results.

I understand that of couse teachers are human and not all of them will teach very well but I am wondering if there is any alternative to public schools. In the States where my dh was based, there are many alternatives to public school. So I am thinking if I am trying to find an alternative, is there any (besides home schooling).

      Hi TAS,

Any other days for the Love to Write 2? My girl has cca training on both days. 😞 I have been waiting for a long time to join your holiday programmes, every time you have one, somehow we can't fit the timing.
