Hi, my maid contract ending in end Sep 14. I received MOM’s letter on her WP renewal. Since she does not have to renew her PP, can I said that I just have to purchase the maid insurance and renew her WP? Do I need to go the Philippine embassy to fill up any forms?

My daughter is in P2 CCPS this year. I received the payment card this month and was surprised that the fare has increased by 37.5% from $80 to $110. My house is 2km away from school. When I called up the bus operator who was the lady boss (Apxxx) told me rudely that the school was aware on the bus hike of 20%. When I asked for the memo, she couldn't provide me the information and dropped me a mail stating that it was the management decision to decide the bus hike. Next, she got the bus driver to convey message to me that if I am not happy with the bus hike, don't take the bus. I was actually furious with her unprofessional attitude and I wonder why CCPS has authorised such bus operator to ferry our kids. In fact, I doubt their integrity as well. Even when I told her that I may escalate to School Bus Association, she told me that it is useless to do so. What a arrogant lady! :mad: My hubby and I have discussed that we are going to terminate the school bus service by end of this month. We should not be the victims of unreasonable bus hike. I don't think school will take any action against steep bus hike otherwise the bus operator will not act so arrogant. :stompfeet:

Hard Truth:

So if your maid is \"good\" and you want to help her save the transfer fees levied by the agency, you may want to post her expectations on any forum and if there are other employers looking for a good maid, they will be happy to take her.


Some say there may be some savings for you as the new employer will save you the cost of having to buy a one way ticket to send her home. I don't know if this is true so you may want to check this out

My pino maid asked for ticket compensation from me and looked for her own employer to transfer. She is not very fantastic and that is why I didn't want to renew her contract. i rather spend money looking for new maid. Anyway, I gave her few hundred dollars and she is still not contented.... :mad:

I am going to stop hiring any more Indo maids if fees is increasing too much. There are always other options for employer to choose. Question is after paying so much, are we getting good quality? I doubt so as the high rejection rate is always very high especially from Indo and Myanmar. I have tried maids from Myanmar, Indo and Philippine and we still preferred Philippine as I have less issue with the communication and more variety on the dishes that pino can cook. My current Indo has too many restriction, cannot cook western and pork dishes. Usually, I have to cook the pork dishes overnight so that we have more choices.
