RE: Difference between the similar poly courses?
Aviation Management & Services is about management of aviation services such as airport facilities management and such.
Aerospace Electronics is an electronic course. It teaches you about the electronics and electrical system in an airplane for eg.
Aerospace Engineering is more about repair overhaul etc of airplane. -

kiasuursula:
Then go NYJC. Else she will have less resting time which could affect her study.Hi,
Need some advise.
What is the better and shorter way to travel from Woodlands to ACJC by public transport? DD has tried via One-North stn but is too far for her..
She need to decide btw ACJC n NYJC. NYJC is more convenient. But I want her to go ACJC. -
RE: Which poly is better for accountancy?
Should be the same. Unless you are saying one is raw 12 and one is after deduction 12.
FYI, Poly can only deduct 2 bonus points. -
RE: Regarding poly entry to local Uni
It might be easier if you go through JC route. In poly, entering SMU accountancy is not really that hard in my opinion, but you will require significantly more effort than in JC. Afterall, for poly to enter into uni, you have to be in ~top 15% in your course.

RE: Do I need to revise O-lvl stuff before JC starts?
For me I would think that it is better for you to revise if you have the time. Because if your foundation is not strong, most probably you can’t catch up with harder and new content.
Just my 2 cents. -
RE: Cost of studying in UK
Depend on the currency rate. From what I know, last time (>5-6 years ago) studying in UK might be more expensive. But now should be around the same.

RE: Help! My DS is not motivated.
Another thing is that you could motivate him by helping him to set a target.
For example, I guess that he loves gaming. Therefore, you could probably show him some courses in the polytechnic which teaches gaming and its creations, such as Diploma in Games Design & Development by Singapore Polytechnic. Tell him that these courses required good grades to get in and if he wanted these courses, he must work double hard.
These can be quite a good method. This is because that what happened to many of my friends. They generally do not like studying and scored rather badly. However, after the school brings them to polytechnic open houses, they realized that by continuing not to study, they could not enter into their dream courses. As a result, they work hard enough and most of the time do get their desire result. -
RE: Animation course in polytechnic
To TS, I do hope that you would enjoy the animation course.
FYI, I have friends in Multimedia & Animation (it used to be called Multimedia Computing) and Digital Media Design.
From what I have heard from them, animation is tough and you must have the passion in art, design and drawing. Without those, and with the thoughts that I just want to design some fantastic animation video, it will be hard to survive. They told me that during the first semester, many of them drop-out as some simply cannot take the stress, they have no passion in design or drawing but just enter because they think it is cool to do animation.
As for further education (to earn a degree), you could either go overseas, NTU doing Fine Arts(Animation), Lasalle College of Arts, or Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
For more first-hand information, you may go for JAE counselling (on the day of the ‘O’ Level result release day) to get first hand information from the design school lecturers. -
RE: JC or Poly?
In my opinion, you should take A level then go to NYP as what you already know.
