Queenstown is balotting PR <1km now. Plan C next!

Can you please let me know the numbers?

They won’t reveal the numbers. Just said PR<1km is ballotting and still have some SCs waiting to register depending on their chance elsewhere. So looking risky. Anyone else have details pls post. Good luck!

Lexy/Davis do you have the breakdown for qtps for last year and even previous years? The numbers are looking quite risky, so want to know how many was PR in the different bands. I'm 1-2km, so if not safe, will consider Plan C! Thanks.

You need to watch closely as chances not so good. Day 1 of last year was 102 and hit 172 on day 3.

Basically you need breakdown and make sure you have a chance going into 3rd day, all SCs will be infront of you in terms of priority.

Probably last year becoz of dragon year. Nonetheless, monitor closely will be the best

I also tried to taper down the numbers. Say 80 is 20% lesser than last year, expect somewhere around 130-140 applicants. Good chance for SC staying near. PR, need monitor closely.

For this year, starting figure 121 vacancies, is lesser than dragon year number.
I remember there was a few others on here looking at Queenstown / NewTown / Bukit Timah. Send me a pm if you want to connect to share updates on numbers etc. I’ll either be registering tomorrow or Thursday. Best of luck!

Hi Wanted to check, I was not able to register online today for my daughter - we got an error message that the our record is not there in the database. All three of us (me, my husband and my daughter) are PRs, however we got the PR 6 months after my daughter was born. Is that the reason?
If you are not PR at the point of birth, you need to register in person.

CHIJ TP balloting for 1-2km... gosh..
traditionally it's balloting for >2km.

Anyone knows the breakdown of numbers? Greatly appreciated.

For CHIJ TP, after 2B Day 1, it was 24, 14, 19 for the 42 places. I was there in the morning of Day 2, and they already informed that SC 1-2km will be ballotting. Don't know the final numbers. Hope this helps, although all can do now is pray! When are results out? I'm awaiting the official sms to tell me I didn't make it (as PR)!

Won't st anthony primary co ed be logistically better and travel shorter? Affiliated to SJI and St pats. of course can spilt school to CHIJ Kellock.

Hi Lexy, did consider it, but my wife and I want to be able to do school run then go to work, and St Anthony's is west in Bukit Batok away from CBD. Thank you for you suggestion, but anyway I guess we will see 2C and decide between QTPS and BTPS. I hope all the parents in 2B get their kids into their choice school.

QTPS 2C applicants

2015 - 94
2016 - 118
2017 - 96
2018 - 172

lets hope its a fluke result last year. although the current TUR until 2B is even higher than last year. Even if there is a balloting this year, you should assess the odd and see if its within your threshold. all the best.
Thanks Lexy. Yes, I'm also hoping for QTPS otherwise we will run to BTPS!

Thanks Hendon. I am around Queensway/Farrer Rd. The Catholic co-ed schools are quite far, and initially was hoping for SJIJ and CHIJ TP in 2B, but as a PR seems no chance, so resorting to Queenstown or BTPS for 2C. Was just at last minute exploring 2B option.

I was also considering CHIJ Kellock for my daughter in 2B (PR > 2km), but can't really find a catholic boys school in the area. Any suggestions?

You need to look beyond Bukit Merah for Catholic Boys schools. Where do u stay? Must be prepared to travel. Why not Catholic Co-Ed schools? This will give u more options.

Refer to this list under primary schools to find the catholic schools http://accs.sg/directory/ or here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_education_in_Singapore#List_of_Educational_Institutes
