This whole affiliation thing is a very personal preference , same with the Pond Comparison.
It’s ok guys, we state our views to help those who need a better idea on what to expect.
Besides, it is also True that all schools in Singapore are good (coz they follow the same MOE guidelines).
But, it’s the Teachers that makes the difference. Again, this in turn, creates the Big Fish achievement in neighborhood school.
The kids going to P1 is just the start of their academic challenge.
For those whose kids managed to go into their Ideal School, Congratz! ( I can imagine the relieve …like Finally.)
For those who ended up with Not their ideal School of Choice, well, disappointments are inevitable.
But, trust and hope that their teachers will make the effort to make a remarkable difference in our kids life.
For parents that feel distances matter, do go chk on the school’s proposed CCAs and roughly see what time it ends.
Some ends at 6pm and by the time the kid goes home, it may be 7pm ( for those who lives far from school)
- Not all schools have compulsory P1 CCA, but just for those who may have the intention to.

Better to go for CHIJ (with affiliation).

RE: All About Home Addresses
And how about those who bought new homes for this purpose and yet they are deprived of the possible phase 2B ?
We are talking about parents who fork out $$ to buy homes near these schools… and not even rental. How fair is that!
