All About Primary Schools' Balloting History
-
Hi all,
I have 3 plans:
1) Register for Punggol Green using my address:
I dont stay there but since the school is within 1km, i may consider. But i also heard that there are many young families in Punggol so balloting has been happening every year. Seats left: 165
2) Register for Holy Innocents
I can use my mil’s address as we have been staying there since birth and we did a SD. The school is within 1km but i understand that it will be pushed down to within 2km coz it is a SD address. Seats left: 47
3) Register for CHIJ OLN:
Within 2km under SD address but no balloting past years for 2C and so fourth. Seats left: 91
Sorry, forgot to add on. Kindly advise… -

Plan 1 - not an option.Hi all,

I am assuming that when you say 'I don't stay there', you are renting out your unit, and not leaving it empty. If your tenants decide to apply for schools using the tenanted address, you will be liable for what amount to a false declaration during application. The legal implication can be very serious.
Plan 2 - not an option.
Given that Holy Innocents will most likely ballot within 1km, you are unlikely to secure a place.
That leaves with you only Plan 3 as the only workable plan. -

I suggest that you focus on #2 and #3 as it would be tedious for you to send your daughter to Punggol every morning. Not to mention arranging transport when she starts having CCA etc.Hi all,

Holy Innocents should be quite safe for you as you're within 2km, but it's good to be vigilant on the last day. If balloting is required and you prefer not to ballot, you can withdraw and switch to CHIJ. -
Thank you so much for all your prompt replies.
Sorry for the misleading sentence. I dont’t stay in punggol on weekdays but we go back on weekends. The house is not rented out and both my husband and my ic are using this punggol address.
Thanks and please keep your advices coming in. -
and if i really get punggol green, i will probably move back to punggol and enrol her in a student care.

If that's the case, you can have more than 3 plans given the number of primary schools in Punggol that won't be balloting in Phase 2C. I would have preferred some of them to Punggol Green. -

just read that new post. so you stay at own place only on certain days. then if you are looking at affiliation, OLN would be worth considering since you are staying at mil's place during weekdays. this way, you can also coach daughter in her work.
3) Register for CHIJ OLN:
Within 2km under SD address but no balloting past years for 2C and so fourth. Seats left: 91

Better to go for CHIJ (with affiliation).

even though nobody knows how affiliation will work when the new AL grading begins, having a safety net reduces the stress at PSLE.
