hi, we’ve attended CCE.education and continued on with their regular tuition. They are the only center with cognitive thinking skills and the 3 days holiday program i’ve signed up convince me that it works! . AS i see that questions are getting so hard these days, so having a class with cognitive thinking skills improvements will will benefit long term, that is what i hoped.

Hi, some of the open ended course offers good follow-ups, the one my DD attended will send worksheets and marked with feedback, so they can be familiarized with the technique which i find good. From my research, not every course offers that.
Hi parents, after attending the section B course for your child, did anyone sign up for their regular tuition class? Is it going to be enough to join the section B class and not need to attend their regular tuition and the results can improve?
I find the course sufficient but i still sign up for the tuition program as it's very good materials and my DD enjoys the experiments. -
RE: Section B Class
Hello everyone!
Last schoolyear, my son aced the MCQ but struggled with OEQ. I told him to use keywords and follow certain formats like what they are taught in school, but it doesn’t seem to help.
I know Science takes a huge chunk of the PSLE questions. I’m quite worried that he might not do well as it will be his PSLE next year. Anyone know of a tuition center that can help him improve on his section B?

RE: No More Rote Memorization
JS rolling:
Thanks for all the recommendations! I decided to go with CCE Education and I’m happy to report that my daughter has shown some improvement in school. It’s just been just 4 months and her teachers have given mostly positive feedback not just in her academics, but also in her study skills. I’m very happy!Hello, everyone!
Looking at how the exams are structured where questions are creative and cannot just rely on rote memorization, it is sad to see my DD struggling. I have gone through with methods like unit transfer method but those methods without good thinking skills are just useless.
Moreover, I believe that such rote memorization is going to harm my DD in the long run if she doesn’t start to learn the proper ways to use her brain.
Thus, I am asking for help from anyone who can recommend me a good education program that is real education instead of rote memorization.

Hi jalyndasia! Yes, I did enroll my daughter at CCE last December. The course is activity-based and not worksheet-based. That’s why my daughter had a great time. She doesn’t like doing too much homework! Plus, her other classmates are also enrolled there.
Hi JS rolling! Did you ever push thru enrolling your daughter at CCE? How was her experience? I'm looking for science programs this march and I was wondering if they have slots open. Thanks!JS rolling:
Hello everyone~
I noted that many students can do well for MCQ but struggled at open ended questions. My DD can usually scored about 22 out of 40 and I am worried for her PSLE next year!
I have taught her to use keywords and her school also seems to teach them certain format, but it seems to me that it is still not enough.
As science is her favourite subject, anyone has any advice on how she could improve on her section B? I am worried as it will be her PSLE next year. :yikes:
:thankyou:
I do recommend it but of course, it’s still up to you. It doesn’t mean though, that since it worked for my daughter, it’ll work for your child the same way. The last decision is always up to you. I'm not sure if they have a science course this month. Maybe you can call or check out their website. Hope this helps! -

I did some googling online!

has anyone tried cce.education? they seems to be the only centre that offers a concrete course among the 3? Or anyone has any other recommendation in the east cce education is too far for me. Their weekend course are nearly full too.
Taken this online:
“The biggest reason why students do not score for PSLE science open ended questions is because they do not phrase their answers properly. P6 science concepts are easy to understand. The questions are not rocket science. However students lack the skill to convert the answers in their mind into meaningful, “scorable” output. -
