Just being a busybody - how many qualified for GEP and META this year?
On average it’s abt 10 from each HA classes… so abt 40+ GE kids from NY alone & abt 80 META kids.
From MTP yesterday…
167 passed round 1
41 qualified for GEP
70 for META

Mrs Lee also shared that the reduction of GEP classes was due to lower birth rate.
Heard nyps has reduced GEP classes to 3 instead of 4, are they going to increase the META class from 2 to 3 for year 2017?

Is there any difference whether is in HA or no HA class? While I read that is the top 160 students from the cohort, what is the min score base on past years P2 results?

For P2 PE swimming lesson : can go to school that day, wearing :-

- 1 piece swim suit inside.
Not 2 piece (bikini type)

If can, buy those 1 piece swim suit that come with long sleeves, to prevent the arms of your dd, from getting dark, as the sun is very hot.

- wear PE T-shirt & shorts, outside.
Fold the pinafore neatly, put inside a plastic bag.
Sew your dd name & class, on both PE T-shirt and shorts, in case they get mixed up, with another classmate.

When reach the pool, remove PE-T shirt, shorts.
fold them up, neatly.

swimming coaches there will assess you, assign you to join which group (Elementary or Beginners / Intermediate / Advanced group)

- comb
- rubber band (those who need to tie up their long hair)
- slippers

- change of underwear
- talcum powder
- plastic bag, to put wet stuff like swimming suit

Hi lovinglife,

What is bridging class? :scratchhead:
I heard from my friends the bridging classes for those whom the teachers find that they are lacking in certain subjects. Heard there are English and Mandarin reading bridging classes.

Regarding enrichment, I heard during the primary 1 talk that there are bridging classes but I don't have details.

So far, have not received any letters from NYPS or MOE regarding admission for 2015 intake.
