You mean cut-off at 1km? No balloting for 1 - 2 km? Oh dear! This is really abnormal. Last year 60% chance balloting for 1-2km.

I guess many many PRs in that area. If you look at the kindergartens in that area, you will know what I mean.

Don't worry if you failed in balloting. Quickly ask to be placed in the waiting list. Some successful applicants would pull out. Reason? They were in the ACS waiting list and managed to get transfer there!

No. I rang up another school and the told me the system shuts at 4.30pm SHARP. but i dint give up. i rush home from work n i went home to collect my documents, and reached at 4.50pm and they say registration is closed. anyway that school have 100 applicants out of 57 seats, 99 are within 1km ( same as me). so only have 57% chance to get in.... I m so lost now.

What you should have done is to call up that school. Tell them you urgently need to register and will arrive in 10 mins but give them a really good excuse. And one of them will generously wait for you. (Their duty is only up to 4.30pm) The system does not close at 4.30 sharp. It closes 5.30pm actually. This is because after 4.30pm, the people at the school need to count and tally the registration forms and go BACK to the system and press the CONFIRM ALL button by 5.30pm so that MOE HQ can update their website.

Balloting will probably happen for this school in phase 2b under 2km. Under 1km all should get in for phase 2b.

The answer is no. Only ex St Joseph's Institution Junior or ex St Michael's School old boys are allowed to register in the old boys phase at St Joseph's Institution Junior.
