newmum_2010:Hi did anyone appealed to DHS and got a call from them for interview?
Dharma:Hi atutor2001,atutor2001:Oh my ...!
Those who score 100 for math will get a T-score of 91.
Those who score 100 for science (near impossible) will only get a T-score of 77.5
100 in English (another impossible case) the T-score will be 74.5
100 in Chinese (for PRC) the T-score will be 72.
I hope you will now understand why I have made so much noise regarding the Math paper. There will be at least 50 pupils out there who get 100 for math, enjoying a disproportionate jump in their T-score.
Anyway, MOE will sure have to moderate the marks. Otherwise the top student will have an aggregate T-score of over 300 (a new record)
Thought max possible T-score is 75.
jysh:Well even if you get 253 you might not get into the programme. But still, I agree with you.
I am just concerned that if the school kept emphasizing so much about the IB programme COP as if it is the school COP and as if the other students from 245-252 do not exist, how will it affects the feeling of these students. Put yourselves in their shoes and how will you feel?WeiHan:
i just wonder if there is a need to have 2 COPs for ACSI. According to MOE, there is only 1 COP (max 2 if there are affiliated primary schools), but no COP for IP. Imagine the additional 8 schools that will be offering IP soon - all will have COP for IP and non-IP, it will be very confusing. :?
