I have the same worries, but my kid is only P3 next year. hahaha ... i am super kiasu ..

Anyway, I have gone one step further - I wrote in to MCYS, and propose they consider / conduct feasibility studies on setting up youth clubs catering to teenagers from 13 - 16 / 17. The idea is to have a supervised environment for the kids to study and bond with other teenagers of their age group, more like a supervised study room with lunch and shower facilities provided, actually. Dr Vivian B. replied they will explore this idea, but I am not even sure if it is in the works yet.

I am contemplating meeting the MP for my zone to propose this idea for him to bring it up another level .... should I?
That was a good idea ! I am also worried but I think that it is a trust between a parent and a child.

      Hi lizawa

Thanks for asking micko07 that qeustion. It was so kind of her to share with us her study strategies. Lizawa what about you? Gathered from past posts that your child did very well at PSLE. Care to also share with us where you sent your child for enrichment or tuition?

      Hi Poonie,

My child did reasonably well, but not fantastically good, but we are happy with his results. Although he has higher expectation.

He attends English at Learning Lab and we put him at Eduplus for Chinese. But tuition or enrichment is only once a week, and we cannot expect miracle to happen. Consistent and hard work from the child is still most important.

I have heard that TLL is good .May I know who is your teacher?Or which teacher do u think is good?

I think by sending them to the centre witch give them a classroom setting is good . It helps in preparing them for pri.1.

Home tution is a bit too early. I have talk to my daughter before . She said that group tution helps her better as it is encouraging during K1-P3.
