RE: Happy Call Korean Frying Pan
Interestingly enough, i noticed that BestGmall sells another pan which is similar in size to Ocher Pan but it is red in colour instead of brown.
In any case wanted to ask if anybody got the pots that the Lejei is showing on TV. Seems interesting. -

Kiasimom, well she wants to go home first of course for abt 1 month and no besides that she has not asked for any other requests. She gets 2 Sundays off a month. Not sure what other requests do they have?Hi.
Besides increment, did she have other requests?
She gets to use her handphone as long as it does not interfere with her looking after my mum.
I'm not tha strict with her. -

Hi Andaiz,kahlan1003, I'd like to work with a \"known danger\" than take a gamble at a new one who may be even more problematic. If she is willing, why not?
Just a word of caution that she may show \"face\" now that she's been with the family for > 4 years - having known the ins and outs and all the family happenings. (sometimes we are so much creatures of habit also; and tend to get too familiar eh?
) Also, never let your guard down now that she's so familiar.
Yes she has already done that shown face, but i chose to ignore. I'm actually hopeless at confrontation and usually i am easy going. Even if places are not thoroughly clean, i will not make noise as long as she takes good care of my mum. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
thanks guys, yes will consider it.
Although i may want to set some ground rules as she has slacken and become a bit lazy. But i suppose that is acceptable as compared to getting a new maid who may give more problems. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
i’ve been reading the thread from the beginning, wah this thread moves very fast.
I’m at a crossroad, not sure if i should retain my maid who wants an increase (willing to pay up to S$360-370 (she’s been with me for 4 years), but if she asked for more than that i think i’m a little burden).
My fear is to deal with new maids if they are problematic. Of course I won’t say this maid is perfect, if i were to nitpick i would say, she has a lot of faults, but I close my eyes to those as long as it is minor, such as not doing a good job of cleaning, cooking, a little lazy etc. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
I agree i too never set a set of rules and I’m not really good at rebuking people.
In future if i have a maid i will use those rules i found here. -

Hi Kahlan1003,
Hi Autumbronze, yes i am thinking of giving her a $20-30 increase. She gets 2 days off a month.kahlan1003:
Hi Kahlan1003,
My maid's contract is also ending in March. She is from Indo too. Currently we are paying her $350 w/o 0ff day. She had 1 yr of experience b4 we employed her.
Don't quite know what is the market rate but DH mentioned that if she renews with the same conditions, he will consider increasing the salary by $20 because yes, she's been a good maid as well ....
That seems resonable ...
Perhaps anyone out there with experience with maid renewal can advise??? :D
Yup will wait for some response as to what's the current salary rate. In any case if not i will start calling up agencies in January to have an idea what's the current market rate for new and experience maid. Do a survey ha ha. -

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
wah this is really a useful thread. By the way, do anyone know what is the current market rate for Indonesia maid experience. I’m currently paying my maid S$330. Her contract is ending in March and she wants to go extend but wants to be pay current experience salary which she indicate is S$380 to $400.
I have my maid for 4 years already and do not really want to go through the hassle of training her again. She is looking after my mum (alone) and although she is not perfect, she is honest and knows how to take care of my dementia and disabled mum.
