Dear Alweek,
I am seriously looking into an air purifier and hope you will be able to assist me with some technical details. I am sufficiently knowledgeable in science and would likely be able to understand technical details.
My intention is to buy air purifier (or a vacuum cleaner that can act as an air purifier) to clean the air (control and remove the dust in the air) in my place purely to control the cleaning that is required in my place.
The idea of using ng a vacuum cleaner as an air purifier of course comes from people like Rainbow and in fact, a salesman has told me that the vacuum cleaner would be better for this usage as it has better suction power. I particularly like a water based vc because I like the idea rt going of the dirt going into water (cleaning is always most effective with water) but this I believe is a personal preference.
I do not like to buy things from the direct suppliers (or mlm) bec they are heavily over priced and because of all the complaints that I have heard of them.
I have also approached the sales department of vacuum cleaners but they are not of much help.
In all cases, nobody is able to provide me the basic technical detail that will justify its use as an air purifier (this is a must if I were to invest a certain amount of money in for purposes of this purchase).
That being said,I hope to enlist your assistance in my this project:
1. I believe the technical features to look out for would be: the use of the hepa filter, the air change over rate (to assess how often the air would be clean) and the wattage. For comfort, the noise level must be correct. Is that right? Are there further features that I should look for?
2. What are the numerical numbers for the features? say, what change over rate should I look for? what wattage? etc.
I am ok if the air purifier would be able to work for this purpose but according to a sales man, the air purifier would not.
Will appreciate any help that you can give,
Regards,

RE: Any good Air Purifier to recommend?
Hi, would like to get some advice or opinions on this.
I am interested in getting a vacuum cleaner that doubles as the air purified. In particular, I want to settle the dust particles in the air which makes cleaning difficult, no more as you have cleaned, dust settles again.
Thinking that maybe for this, water based vacuum cleaner will be good. A company selling "Rabo" vc (similar, to Rainbow, apparently) did a demonstration for me and the lady left the system there for about 3-4 minutes and it seemed that it was able to absorb the dust in the air as the dust did not settle for the next couple of days after my weekly cleaning (used to be about 2-3 days). I saw a version of this water based vacuum cleaner in Kracher 6.000 model selling at about $600+.
Your advice and comments most appreciated. I feel that if we can control the dust in the atmosphere, cleaning will be a bit easier for us who have no domestic help. -
RE: All About Vacuum Cleaner
Hi,
I would like to seek opinions from you all about vacuum cleaners which can double up as an effective air purifier. This, to me, would solve a lot of cleaning problem in Singapore. Any recommendation of this and brands. I tried to enquire at Kracher’s website. Can you believe it? It has a feedback form which cannot be sent (???).
Thanks
