my elder DD told me she wants to trim her hair yestrday. since it been 3 mths since she cut her long hair to a bob and i can see the back is getting frizzy, i said ok. She said she will cut it somewhere nearby.
when she come back, i was shock!! she had cut her hair so short, literally like a boy. other than the fringe thats way too long and cover her right eye, the side and back are clippered short to the scalpe. even the top are trimmed to an inch and standing straight.
I was so upset and angry. blaming myself for not following along. she told she "suddenly" feel like cutting it really short since the weather is hot. anyway her classmate do sport such haircut and no problem with her teacher. I do not believe
when i ask her where she cut it, she told me at Malay Barber round the corner. I was furious, she had it planned, not just suddenly want to cut it short as she had claimed.
I told her firmly i disapporved of what she had done and I forbid her to cut her hair again. she is to grow it long.
my hubby just said that its ok, she just being "playful", nothing to worry about. But i feel it is not right for girls to cut their hair short like a boy, not in a barbershop. I am not sure if the school teacher will have any comment or not.
How short would you allow your DD to cut her hair?

RE: Your daughter's hair, long or short?
Its been 3weeks not since my DDs had cut their thair short and I think it good. SInce school started, they need not spend so much time in the morning and can sleep a little more.
However, i realised that their hair grow a bit fast and their fringe about to reach their eyes. Anyone here actually trim their DD fringe for them? -
RE: Wearing shorts under school skirt ?
I didnt let my DDs, now both in Secondary Sch to wear shorts beneath. I think it is uncomfortable for them. Moreover, I think should learn to sit properly. I always remind them so.

RE: Your daughter's hair, long or short?
I think my girls look sweeter in short hair. its eaier to manage too. Think they dont need to spend so much time every morning to tie their hair when the new school term start.
I feel like cutting my hair short too. -
RE: Your daughter's hair, long or short?
My 2 DD had thick hair long nearly to the waist for the past 7years and i only bring them to salon for trim occasionally.
Last Sat I cut my DDs hair short as new school term is coming. Esp my younger DD is starting sec one. Its easier to manage. She had a chin lenght nob with cute step fringe.
My elder DD had it cut near her ear and back slightly buzz.
My friend recommend me this freelance stylist who come to our house to do the haircut. He did the cut for free cos he keep the hair for making extension. He did nice job and my DD love the new style thou they are sad to part with their hair. He even help me trim my fringe.
