    • RE: Smoking and its Contribution to Lung Cancer

I'm not a smoker myself but my husband is. It's not easy quitting, I believe him, but since we're not the only 2 members of the household, we had to take measures and make it a safer space for kids. He only smokes in his office, but he couldn't air it out right so we got an air purifier with carbon filters to cut down the smell. It did make a huge difference, when I use the office at the same time he does, we don't end up stinking like cigarettes anymore. The best course of action is quitting, hands down, but until then, you have to find other measures to get rid of the smell and toxic particles from the air at least. I found some useful sources on quitting, but honestly, until the person who is addicted doesn't find it in himself or herself to follow through, all the advice in the world won't help.

    • RE: Humidifier in Babies room

Yes, if the air is dry in the nursery, the baby can have problems with skin dryness and irritations. Moreover, if the baby has issues like eczema, the humidifier helps atone them. The build-up of mucus is also loosened, which helps the baby breathe better.

    • RE: Humidifier in Babies room

Living in a non-tropical country, especially in an area where air dryness is a predominant issue for the best part of the year is problematic when you have babies or small children if you don't use a humidifier. I don't recommend that you opt for alternatives as humidifiers are quite advanced these days and you can set them to stop when a certain humidity level is reached. You can even use a hygrometer to check room humidity if the humidifier you have doesn't feature automatic stop. Nonetheless, going back at the issue at hand, I recommend you go for a specialized humidifier. Nursery humidifiers like here https://popular.reviews/humidifier-for-babies/ are quite common and are the safer option as these tend to provide coverage for small rooms, feature sterile environments where the water is kept, and don't make much noise either. Do a bit of research and you're sure to find one that caters to what you prefer and to your budget quite easily. Best of luck, honey!

    • RE: Love In Small Ways

It’s the small things that create a bond, but it’s small things too that can wreck a relationship. And honestly, how I see it at least, when love is gone, it’s gone for good. If you choose to stay, good for you, if you leave, congratulations. But I don’t believe in fairy tales. If that feeling has left my soul for the person standing by my side, all that’s left is friendship and I won’t be able to feel anything ever again regardless of the efforts involved. We are all different in our ways, it’s healthy to first understand yourself and see if you can cope with certain decisions along the way.
