    • RE: [Jurong West] BASC

My primary one boy is in Little Professors.

Overall, i am satisfied with the center, they have a timetable for the kids to follow, and daily assessment work. They were never late in picking up son from the bus-stop and the children looks very happy there too.

Although the center is abit run down, old, but i guess, what’s most important is the welfare of children and whether are they happy.

    • RE: All About Abacus Training

I believe abacus training helps a young child in building math foundation and it will not confuse him/her when he or she is entering primary 1.

Son had been having abacus training since he was 4.5 years old and he is going to primary 1 next year, so far, he is not confused when i gave him some math problems to tackle.

I do recommend parents of younger kids to send their children to abacus as early as possible. 😉

Son will be in primary 1 in 2013 and enrolled in Pioneer Primary.
I love that they are Single session, so much easier to plan..

    • RE: How to train my kid to go toilet at nite?

Mine is 5 years old and would still sometimes wet the bed.

Once, i told him that if he wet the bed that night, he would have to wear diaper to school the following morning and night.

      He protested and screamed "NO"!

He stayed dry after…! I still constantly remind him that if he wet his bed, diaper is what he is wearing to his school, i am not sure if i am cruel by threatening him like that but this is so far, the most effective way to let him stay dry through out…

    • RE: Homework while on holidays?

just like we adults would never bring work on holidays…i would leave all homework and revision books at home when on holiday with son.

usually, before we leave for a trip, i would get him to finish all his homework, so that it’s totally stress-free for him when he is back from the trip…
