What are the 'suitable' channel to inform the school? Can school do something to remind these teachers to update their class blog more regularly?

Usually do the English teachers give online homework?

Very often over long weekend or holiday, my kid was told to go mconline for homework, but EVERYTIME the portal is not ready.
And that was the ONLY homework given.

Most of the time just wasted the time over the break.

Do your kids’ English teacher give any homework other than just being asked to check out those website exercise?

Cant PTM be arranged on Saturday or other date further apart? Continuous 2 fridays need take leave :yikes:

Any of your kids are in primary 3 in Endeavour. Just to get feedback. Seems like the teachers are not providing the test dates properly for Chinese and Science. The teacher merely post in the class blog to mention the test is in week 9. Any parents experienced the same problem? In the last 2 years, the teachers would always provide written notices to us to let us know exactly when is the test date. I have written to the form teacher and was told that they are not able to fix the date as not all classes can complete the syllabus at the same time, thus will only fix the date nearer to the actual date. I really don't think its acceptable.

We are facing the same problems. According to my child, last Friday they had their Chinese test. I'm quite puzzled as I thought it should be held in week 9. It seemed not standardized at all. There is no test dates given for Chinese and science tests.

Seems like there is no standardization across.
For my DD class's English, have no idea what has been covered and prepared for test, totally no info given on what to be tested. Zero progress update from the teacher.
Is it syllabus just given down by the head, all teachers OTOT?

I am quite unhappy with a particular Ms Zhang teaching my dd's Chinese class. she seems super impatient. Wondering what is wrong with their Chinese teachers this year?!

Is your dd in P2? Just found out that my kid's Chinese teacher also Ms Zhang, and most of her Chinese exercise work since january not marked.

Almost all her marking just ticks, without dates written.

May I check any forumer here with kid at P2?


Which week of Chinese 听写 will your child be having next?
Next week is already week 7 and my kid’s 听写 is only at the 5th. Is this the same across all P2?

you can actually approach your school's Chinese department HOD -
to give you another song sheet with Chinese words / characters written, but with han yu pin yin printed beneath each and every Chinese character.
This way, those who can read the Chinese word - will read.
Those who can't recognize the Chinese word, can refer to the han yu pin yin right beneath / below it.

they need to wear home clothes (and was told cannot wear sexy clothes, another term I am surprised they used), not sure about P1 this year.
last year in P1, they were asked to wear home clothes for celebration.

exactly, and i am still :? what the school is promoting, from this sheet, i can only say:

1. kids just learn how to spell
2. kids not learning how to recognize Chinese words
3. with those exact pronunciation, it will be reading, not singing
