http://i50.tinypic.com/30jtuep.jpg\"> Kid just received the CNY \"song sheet\" last week, but all three songs are in han4 yu3 pin1 yin1, without Chinese character!!!!

Are students supposed to learn spelling, without recognizing the character? And it is also impossible to sing with exact pinyin.
      Really surprised...

      Hi Kenny,

It seem so tough...i can't even sing or understand..wonder how the kids learn the song..

you can actually approach your school's Chinese department HOD -
to give you another song sheet with Chinese words / characters written, but with han yu pin yin printed beneath each and every Chinese character.
This way, those who can read the Chinese word - will read.
Those who can't recognize the Chinese word, can refer to the han yu pin yin right beneath / below it.
feedback to the Chinese department the issue. They should be able to help you resolve.

Hope the Chinese department can 'see' this issue earlier, first time when I look at the sheet already feel quite ridiculous (sorry to use this word, but that's actually how I felt)

May I check any forumer here with kid at P2?

Which week of Chinese 听写 will your child be having next?
Next week is already week 7 and my kid’s 听写 is only at the 5th. Is this the same across all P2?

Have you ever ask yr p1 kids what they eat everyday in school. Mine buy from the same stall and same kind of food everyday since day 1. Have been asking him to try new stall but always telling me scare not enough $ to buy. $2 a day should be enough to buy from any stall right?

How much yr kids spent in the canteen everyday? With $2 what can he buy? :scratchhead: what type of food they have?

My son eat different type of food daily. Can be fish ball noodles, burger, fried rice, hokkein mee, rice with chicken wing, chicken rice.

I gave him $2. He always spent around 70 to 80cents..unless he buy burger which will cost $1.

I am quite unhappy with a particular Ms Zhang teaching my dd's Chinese class. she seems super impatient. Wondering what is wrong with their Chinese teachers this year?!

Is your dd in P2? Just found out that my kid's Chinese teacher also Ms Zhang, and most of her Chinese exercise work since january not marked.

Almost all her marking just ticks, without dates written.

Wayang teachers in this school not only Chinese teachers other subjects maths and science also have. I pm u what I came across.

Today Rainbow day. Saw a maid with a girl, wearing a spaghetti dress (very expose) What will the boys in the class say about it? It’s a Sch and they will sit on the floor, play ,run around. Isn’t just a nice pair of jeans or a 3/4 pants with blouse more suitable.?

I like Rainbow day. I think it’s a day that can teach the kids to dress properly for the occasion. To look good or "sexy" (sorry Kenny I got to use that word) doesn’t mean got to expose so much on the clothes they wear. Or maybe next time rainbow day will come in theme like "formal", "casual", "sporty" or "smart casual".

Good lobang, I am reading this, so interesting like chasing Korean drama. About how doing good helps in polishing of life, and how to get away from 烂桃花。
