yes my son had to sit the test..



no.. my son went to go to Singapore before he completed his middle term of SMU 1. He is doing fine in math, science etc. The problem is
that in English. I hope if he goes to sec 2, he will be able to
adapt further to the english lessons, do the CCAs more actively before O Level to have brighter future... However if I'm afraid he will be disadvantaged during admission to other institution...

Please help me...

Very glad and happy to hear that your son did feel better..

He might be abit down for a while, but if you give support and help,
I think your son will be strong..

Being a growing teenager is not easy :).
So is being a parent of a teenager..
There will be many problems
Keep support and guide him from far...

Is that true you cannot active in CCA in sec 3?
Is that true that if you apply to uni, my son will be disadvantaged
if he goes to sec 2?

hi… my son also felt what your son feels right now…

When I did like what autolycus said…
he told me that what he bothered the most were:
(1) He will miss his friends, teachers ==> he didn’t
want to get separated from them
(2) He was afraid that the new system of the school
would be stricter and harder than the system of his previous school
(3) He was scared he would not have friends and teachers as amiable as he had had in his previous school

I suggest you calm him down and suggest your experience you had once
you were in his position. It worked for my son (at least he felt far
better), dunno if it will work for your son. It really depends on
childs’ charasteristic

Hope he will feel better and better. What the most important thing is
not to let him to be discouraged and oppresed.

You seem know very well about it. Are you experienced in this kind of situation? Can you suggest me how the best to prepare my son?
Can you also tell me their (scholars you mentioned) experience?
How can they take HML in sec 3? How can they get atmitted to RGS?
Please :?: :?: :?: I really have no idea about it :stupid: :stupid: :oops:


I assume they do can do well because they have prepare it months before the new term start. My son has just started to prerare on the middle of this month.

Actually there is a little bit different.
If my son goes to second 2, he has 2 year downwards. Indonesian students in senior high school 1 or has completed junior high school 3, supposed to second 3 because they could not go to second 4. So, if he goes to second 4 it will be 2 years downward.

Secondly, how if in second 2 end he participates in second 3 sji or other school entrance exam for returning or local singaporean. Will he be disadvantaged because of this case? How if he apply to university? Thx
