My dd's friend scored 245 and successfully appealed into bpghs (cop:246 in year 2013). I heard that they'll be interviewed by the vice-principal.

Swiss is my 2nd choice & my son cop is slightly higher than 239,do you think he stand a chance to get in to swiss should I appeal?

Mean your son is posted to the 1st choice school, right? Can I know which school? Because schools likes CSS, NHHS, SCSS are all good schools.

Hello.... It seems this forum is not very active as nobody answer the last question from the parent. But I would like to raise my questions as my DD was posted to BPGH for her Sec 1 next year.

Can any parents/ students from BPGH share :
1) The School time and recess time ?
2) How much per meal will cost ? example one plate of rice. I need to have an idea how much should I give for her pocket money. Is the canteen stall selling good food ?
3) usually when is the CCA time ?
4) Which CCA is strong in BPGH ? Art / Uniform / etc...
5) do they need to stay back everyday ?

Any other comment about this school is welcome to share. Thanks a lot !

2) A plate of dish usually cost around S$2. The canteen food is okay, but if it doesn't suit your dd's taste, there's a cafe in the school.

4) Sports, eg: Volleyball, netball
5) (Depends on your dd's schedule)

P.S. Their Physics paper is extremely difficult, my dd is sec 1 this year and many has done badly... :stupid:
But the Physics 'O' level results are better than other schools.

Just checked cop for nyjc is 9 for both arts and science, cjc is 10.

NYJC COP is 8 for Arts and Science, and CJC is 10 for Arts and Science.

Went to NYJC open house this year, very lively school.

I need advise.


My dd has a score of 195 & has decided to opt for NA.

We have selected the schools:
1. St. Margaret
2. Bukit Panjang High
3. Commonwealth
4. Swiss Cottage

We stay in the west, Jurong.

Are these schools a good choice?

Any advise?

For example, if there is only 1 class for NA stream. Then should I give the option of choosing that school. Especially SMSS is a affiliated school.

Year of 2012, BPGHS HAS 5 Express, 2 NA & 1 NT Classes. NA class is train to prepare for \"O\" level. And Sec 1 Express Class is learning Sec 3 Science subjects.
Swiss Cottage is good in their Discipline, and NA result maintained at band 1 level.
No sure about the others 2 schools.

CCK should be Bt. Panjang High(246), AMK/Yio Chu Kang should be Anderson(246) n St. Nick.(253). Woodlands should be Riverside sec.(230)

I told my daughter I have no issue if she fails Art. I did too.

I failed my 'O' level Art , but my child now is taking AEP. It doesn't matter how badly I did, I just hope my child will continue to appreciate the nature of Art. :imcool:
