Hi,
I heard that there are 2 routes to the tree-top walk…one is much longer so I think need to do some research first. But I went and my kids really enjoyed themselves! They came back interested in nature as well.

RE: average 40/100 for MATH SA2
Ya I heard that some teachers could not do some of the questions, one of my friend’s kid could remember a few qns and his mum who is a maths lecturer showed them to me. I took at least 20 mins to solve some of them!

RE: Interesting places of interest/Outings with kids!
I heard about an ice cream making activity they have at Ben and Jerrys. It is organised by some community service place. It sounds really fun.

RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)
Hi tcdl,
Thanks so much for your advice but I have had a 1-1 tutor but there is no improvement and he finds it very boring as he is alone. I thought maybe the gp dynamics might help. Am really frantic as his Chinese marks will pull everything down. -
RE: Where to buy Science Kits
Hi all,
I have had the same experience. I bought some science kits on simple machines and they did not work. I heard about this place that develops science ‘toys’ based on primary school concepts. They teach you how to make your own science toys and you can do it using things from home. They also have huge bubble solutions which really thrilled my kids and they teach you how to explain to your kids about the concept behind the bubbles. Let me know if you need the contact. -
RE: All About English Speech & Drama Enrichment
Hi mommyNg,
No my child is born in Singapore but we speak all right at home, not much Singlish but he goes to school and picks up a lot of Singlish… sigh. Julia Gabriels is good but very expensive and also they focus a lot on creativity and sometimes not that much on exam preparation. How about you, do you have any problems with your child’s oral skills:)

RE: All About English Speech & Drama Enrichment
Hi,
Does anyone know of good speech and drama centres besides Julia Gabriel? My child picks up Singlish from his friends in school and thinks it’s weird to speak well. He speaks in a typical flat tone that most Singaporeans use and his oral is always being pulled down, I heard that the schools may be increasing the oral marks to 40. Don’t know if that is true, I would really appreciate any help or advice in this area.
