      Gin:
      Hi LLX04,

I too received the CCA letter dated 5 January 2012only this evening. Tennis starts at 10.30am and ends at 12 noon. How is my dd going to have her lunch? She has only 15 minutes to get to Assembly time. Definitely no time to freshen up and change or even have lunch. What more, it falls on the same day as 2 periods of Mass PE and 4 periods of Modular Cirriculum 😞 .

      Hi Gin,

What class is your DD in ?

She told me to revise 1 chapter each week and ting xie on ping yin will start from next week, every Thurs. Currently behind schedule so she will catch up by end of week up to chapter 2 the sound of \"W\". My dd said she understands the sounds as she learnt from Berries in K2, hope so, running of time to revise chinese tonite, it 9pm when hw done. Will revise over weekend.

      Hope this helps.

My dd has no homework so far except for the spelling format. Yesterday, they did alot in class. They did Casco on the topic nouns (pg 3-6). and did Math Activity Sheet 1.1. They also started learning Hanyu ping ying (A, O ,E).

Michyms, in class the teacher will base on a story book call " When My baby sister came home" to illustrate the some family relationship like sibling, grandfather, grandmother, aunt.ect.

      michyms:
Tinkerbelle, thanks for the advice. This year, they are using the Casco Revised Primary English for a textbook alongside all the other readers (which I have not seen). The Casco book covers english in topics like nouns, pronouns etc. I recall learning English that way in primary school and its quite boring :snooze:

Michyms... expectation is different now for Primary one .. Nouns, pronouns are all taught in K1 and K2.. so P1 they are expected to know what are these...
