Anyway, I do indeed see that cockroaches are pah buay si but sorry, I have never seen a rat at my home in Singapore so I do not know whether you can say that it is \"as intelligent as a rat\" because I do not know the IQ level of rats. Of course I also know that 己所不欲，勿施于人，but I think I did not start a name-calling session. I merely say that cockroaches are indeed resilient. Once again, :?
But lastly, I do want to reiterate that I want Singapore policies to be Singaporeans-First policies.

You are so welcome to express freely your opinions. In fact, I also agree SGns are to be considered first here, it's rather a much better thing to see every Singaporean feeling happy than frustrated. But please do think twice before you want to qualify other ppl who may have different thinking than yours.
Btw, about rats, I don't have any raised home but I can confirm you that they are creatures most of time more intelligent than other animals of the same size, or classified as the same biological family. For cockroach, since I don't have seen any of them at my home, though they did give me bad impression through other channels, I apologize for having misunderstood your purpose. Now through your clarifications I think I can share your point of view, and I'm rather happy to join you in appreciating the qualities, such as resilience, this small nature has. Hopefully we will all learn something from them.
