I have the impression that keming is pretty academic.
Chij have affiliation sec sch if u want to consider it as a safety net.
Suggest u check out the ksp parents networking thrread of the respective schools to read more about it. Parents of existing students should be able to give u a clearer picture.

when is your kid due for registration?
Bukit View and Lianhua is popular with PRs. not so with SC, so phase 2c registration for PR shouldn't be a problem....u can use this year's registration statistics as gauge.
to apply for pv for any schools, u can start off by exploring their website to see if they have any application form. or u can call them and go down to fill in a form.[/quote]Thank you, jedamum.
My kid was born in 2008 so she is due in 2014 for registration.
I am thinking about to be PV for Keming, as I feel it a better school. If I failed at 2B, I can still try CHIJ or Bukit View at 2C. But as Bukit View has produced some good results in recent years, I worries that it will get propular.... CHIJ is said to be a branded school so I am also not sure.
I just don't like Lianhua, as I went through their website, I don't see a clear vision of the school or what kind of values they want to build in the kids. I also see comments from other parents that Lianhua is putting a lot of pressure on the students.... Is this true???
Well just my own feelings, need to study further about all these schools.
I want my girl will have a more relax style of study.....
Which school do you think fits best? -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
I have a girl born in 2008, and we are PRs. I am sending emails to the schools to ask if they have a PV program.
The only school <1km to us is CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace. I am concerned though as we don’t go to church, and we are planning for a second child and if it is a boy we need to go through all this again…
I am looking at Keming and St. Anthony, but not sure if even I joined the PV it is sure win.
I am hoping that if we fail in 2B, we can get a place in 2C with CHIJ or Bukit View without balloting… I am not sure which one has a bigger chance…
Then if everything goes bad luck, I am thinking of Lianhua in 2C supplement.
My problem is I don’t know if I should PV at CHIJ to ensure that my girl gets in the nearest school, or take a gamble to PV at Keming or St. Anthony, and finger crossed for CHIJ in 2C.
Anyone can give me any ideas? I am really stressed these days… -
RE: [Bukit Batok] Primary Schools
Hello everyone, I am new here and new to this country. I have just moved in hillview. I am currently a PR. I need to register my girl into P1 next year, but I have no clue for the schools at all. The only one school that is within 1 km is CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace, but I don’t go to church and not sure if this is good for us. Other school that is within 1-2 km are mostly too popular for PRs. So I think I only have options like Bukit View, Lianhua, Dazhong. Can anyone give me some advice? I do want to attampt PV if it is an achievable better option. But I dont even sure if I can or how to apply PV for the schools… When do they accept PV applications? Any constraints?
