Yes Le Ann we need to have communication open with our son, otherwise, we wont know how to help them. Currently, SA having Sec 1A to 1M...

Which class is your son in?
Today my son got pushed by his friend and abrasion on his knees. The teacher saw the incident and got the other kid into discipline master room for canning. Quite responsive I must say... and after school he witness a fight between sec 1 kids, a senior school mate stop them and brought both kids to the general office, another good and comforting example on school response to such incident, dont you think.
I myself was from a boy's school, I know the situation very well. To have such response and reaction from school members, I feel comforted.
Hi, with such strict discipline, i do hope the boys behave well.... but yesterday a maid told me that he witnessed an incident where 2 older boys in sch uniform told another one that \"they do not like his look\"....this happened outside school :scared: don't know what happen after that... Perhaps the sch should look into having discipline master walking round the nearby estate. That's my thoughts and suggestions.

The Y3 girls are out in CAMP (OBS) the whole of this week in case some parents or juniors are wondering why the regular seniors on this forum are quiet this week. Have a fruitful camp, Y3 girls !

Hi Le Ann, my son is in 1M, he was not bullied, but he witnessed and felt some bullies characteristic building on some of his peers.

I will be monitoring the situation from afar and verify my son claimed carefully before making approaches.

Dont sweat first...we'll keep everyone updated, ok! :salute:
Thanks Caredaddy for your update... I was somehow worried after reading your posts and told my son to be \"vigilant\" and to let me know if he encounters one.
Your son is in 1M? Do you know how many Sec 1 class are there in SA?

Hi SA Parents, we just got our boy into SA this year...extremely proud for the first few days... until today when he came back to say there's a bullying incident.

Its among his sec 1 classmate, I am not surprise, perhaps these boys carried old habits and it will threatened the good culture of the school.

I raised this issue with the hope that it will reach out to the school authority so that it could be addressed before it goes any further.

As parents I felt responsible to share my child experiences so as to preserve the prestige that the school carries.

Hi Caredaddy, Is that so ? Was your son being bullied? In which class ? Can share more with the SA parents here? šŸ˜“

Sad person, I also have the same query as you. I think if 1-3 points, should be ok bah, I could be wrong.

My dd is short of 2 pts from this school s cop, I called the sch admin this morn to ask about appeal. She told me, \"don\"t put our school as your first 2 choices, and we always have 100 over appeals\", in my heart, I was thinking, wah, the way she talks v very yah yah leh. This school is the high 22x school

I'm still headache which school to finalize and the sequence to put

Some of these schools are very yah, yah. Best part not even in the top tier. Don't know what to say. 🤷

Don't be sadden by their remarks.

Somehow quite surprised to read that the sch told this parents not to put them the 1st 2 choices, however I was told by some parents to put the most preferred choice (even missed by 1, 2 or even 3 marks) in the top 2 choices. Maybe is different sch. agree some schs are yah yah when they heard you would like to appeal. :scratchhead:

My son didn't do very well...we were caught off guard.

He has 203. Need time to get over it.
Seriously I don't know what happened, but can't ask him.

Don't worry I got 272 only.. so sad...

Hi 272, congratulations on your good results. However please be kind in your posting. Please do not rub salt into someone wounds. It hurts.

Hi Janet, I fully understand how you feel. He at least qualify for express course. Our ds will mature and do well eventually.

Marketing Announcement for PHPPS

The P announced yesterday that P3 did very well this year.
120+ made it to GEP selection and 24 make it to GEP.
This is a record for PHPPS history. :imcool: :imcool:
We have beat many top schools including GEP schools.
:rahrah: :rahrah: to all P3.

I believe that this yr P3 cohort has a good chance to take the PSLE top spot in 3 years time. Then more parents will \"look at\" PHPPS as a potential school for their kids.

Now the baton is passed on to this year P2 to set a new record for next year.
Wow that's a whooping record !! During my DD times back like 5 yrs ago, P announced there were 97 made it to 2nd round and 20 to GEP and P was above the moon. But heard PHPPS \"usually\" has 90++ to the 2nd round every year . Well done !! :rahrah:
Hey fifiyeo,

I am not strong academically...but hubby hates wordy stuff. So for English and Chinese, I have no choice but follow closely.
After Thursday ie gal's last exam, I have to attend to son's dental treatment. He has to start braces.

We are done with our 12 year olds only by Christmas...getting uniforms and new books.

Janet_lee88, your DS can start braces at his age? My DS also needs braces due to overcrowding. But dentist said too young, said wait for a while.

ooppsss :offtopic: sorry.

Sorry :offtopic: too  but yes, can wear braces once all of your DC's adult teeth have erupted.

In fact, that was my No.1 thing to do for DD post PSLE. She got 4 teeth extracted a few days after final paper, followed by the fixing of braces. In fact, her front teeth have started to straighten out šŸ˜„
:offtopic: just to add, yes dentist can fix braces for dc at young age. My ds has very crooked front teeth since P3 and we raised our concern to the sch dental. The dentist referred us to health board and ds crooked front teeth were straighten by wearing braces behind them. within 6 months they were corrected with very minimum pain and discomfort. Amazing and he did it after his P4 SA2.
