RE: DSA 2014
phtthp:
Think there are pupils who attempt 6 DSA, trying to strike one for the better ones.
Example
Boys can try RI, NUS High, HCI, NJC, Victoria, ACSI
(already 6 DSA attempt)
Girls can try RGS, NUS High, NYGH, NJC, Cedar, MGS, either CHIJ St Nicholas or SCGS
(7 DSA attempt)
Because they won't know whether they can get any, or not
They may think -
Even if dont get CO, at least get a WL is better than not getting anything.
Just take it that they are going through 7 job interview experience.
In the end, see who offer them the job offer.
If dont have, nothing to lose.
Is an experience that they go through in life, learning something out of it, along the way.
Not easy lah.
I know last year a boy tried DSA 4 schools, and got 3 COs, was rejected by one. He is the 1st of a MS primary in SA1 and a TOP 20 in SMOPS.
The boy had to cost much time, money, and energy to prepare the DSAs, and had to give up preparing the SMO.
His T-score of PSLE is 263+2, so he actually can enter RI, HCI, NUSH, and others by T-score.

Sun2010 and dagong, your kids got into Round 2 of SJPO? :congrats:

Care to share where you get the SJPO R2 information? I can't find it. Thanks
Could you share the namelist? My DS need some models... -
RE: Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)
I do not think GEP is a easier route for any child. So GEPpers are welcome in each school.
The top MSers can enter any school by T-score, but the DSA COs are the admiration and honor for all excellent DSA boys including GEPpers and MSers.
RI gave MSers and their KSPs a shadowy experience in DSA. It waste belief, money, time, and energy.
