Thanks guys...

I guess ESIP for me is supposedly prestigious until i hit the D7 for HMT, ruined my doors to many places..even teacher knew I studied...what a shame.
I will still try to appeal into VJC sci and pray the school give me a chance for my raw score....
Other than that, I should be picking ACJC over TJC šŸ™‚
Unless TJC sci is stronger than AC's science

if youre going to acjc ill see you there! šŸ™‚

      arts or sci? :D
science šŸ™‚
Thanks. what are the chances for top 5% get into RI?

Im guessing top 5% have l1r5 of around 3 and below. If 2 points then you have a very, very good chance. If 3 points then it depends. A score of 6-3 is better than a score of 7-4 (source is from moe website). my sister had a score of 7-4, 5 A1s and 5 A2s, good CCA record and competitions etc but she didn't get into RI via JAE. she appealed but still didnt get in. ended up going acjc. i also got 7-4 for o levels this year, and im pretty sure i wont get in either

I am offered ESIP but i have 8-2=6 because i failed HMT..what a pity. Is there 0 chance for me to appeal into vjc sci?
i wouldn't say its impossible, but every year there are so many appeals and only a few get in. you shouldn't be daunted by this though. just try and see how it goes šŸ™‚

Does anyone knows if affiliation points can be used if you choose d affiliated jc as a second choice? I read d jae booklet n I think it only applies if u choose it as 1st choice unless u r interested in d both arts n science stream. However, dd's friends seem to think otherwise. Anyone has a firm answer? moe will take 3 days to reply..

yup you have to put it as first choice or first and second choice if you are interested in both arts and science stream. you can find it in page 12 of the jae booklet

can explain why 6-3 better than 7-4, because both also end up 3 points ? thanks :?

\"In situations where there are two or more applicants with the same net aggregate score vying for the last place in a course, they will be posted based on their citizenship status (i.e. Singapore Citizens, then Singapore Permanent Residents, then International Students). If there is still a tie, say between two Singapore Citizens, the one with the better gross aggregate score will be posted into the course first.\"

6 is a better gross aggregate score than 7, so if 2 singaporeans with 3 points are competing for a spot (one getting 6-3 and the other getting 7-4), the student who scored 6-3 will get the place first

\" If there is still a tie between two citizens with the same gross aggregate scores, then posting into the course will be determined by a computerised ballot where each candidate is given an equal opportunity.\"
