    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

      Pls help.

At a funfair, each boy is given 4 stickers while each firl is given 5 stickers. The ratio of the total number of stickers given to the boys to that of the girls is 8:5. There are 85 more boys than girls.
      (a) How many children are at the funfair?
      (b) How many stickers are given out altogether?

      TIA.

      Help pls.

      (1) Michael jogged while Karen walked from the same place but in opposite directions along a straight road. After 5h, they were 30 km apart. Michael’s average speed was 1.2 km/h faster than Karen’s average speed. What was Karen’s average walking speed?

      (2) Ben and Macus received some moey from their mother. Marcus would have $64 more than Ben if Ben gave 2/5 of his share to Marcus. Marcus would have $144 more than Ben if Ben gave 2/3 of his share to Marcus. How much money did Ben receive from his mother?

      Thanks.

      Hi fightingmom,

It's a norm in school, even top schools. My kid did one compo in term 1 and yet to see it. Probably wont get to see it.

      Hi,

      Need help.
If Ahmad and Ben work together, they can complete a job in 12 days.
If Ahmad and Ben worked together for 3 days, followed by Ben who worked along for the newxt 5 days, they can finish 5/12 of the job.
How many days will each of them need to complete the job if they were to work alond?
      Thanks.
