      Hi,

I hear there is this interview that the child needs to go through b4 they decide if they enrol the child? Is that true? What kind of questions do they ask? I’m thinking of sending my child there. Many thanks!

    • RE: Does anyone teach their kids PIANO on their own?

I am thinking of teaching my boy piano/keyboard too! But so far, he has been banging his hands on the keyboard… Tried to teach him use his fingers do do-re-mi etc, but realised his fingers are a little ‘soft’, he can’t seem to control very well. He is 4 years old.

    • RE: Cherie Hearts

There have been some concern over Cherie Hearts expanding too fast, so some parents prefer to go to the Cherie Hearts that have been set up for a longer period of time. The concern was that with them acquiring and taking over existing centres with existing teachers, the training may not be as 'good' (some say it's easier to train fresh teachers with no baggage of prior cultures and demands - kind of like the philosophy that it's easier to train new maids than maids with experience :D). So far the Cherie Hearts that I've visited - I don't have a great impression of many of them. Perhaps the best that I've seen is the one at Harbourfront. But I still think the teachers are the most important. And I guess it is kind of independent whether it is Cherie Hearts or not. Although some may say that if the management is good to its staff (including teachers), the staff (and teachers) would be happier, giving a better environment to the children 🙂

    • RE: Cherie Hearts

      Hi,

Cherie Hearts recently opened one at Westlake Avenue (near MacRitchie Reservoir). Any comments? I think it’s only 6-12 months old.

    • RE: [Hougang/Punggol/Sengkang] Preschools

With a good programme, and most importantly, good teachers. I guess good is subjective, but the teachers must at least be happy and kind. 🙂

As for the place itself, preferably non-air conditioned, although it's not a MUST criteria.

      Hi,

I would like to ask about Maris Stella Primary School. Does anyone have any comments to share? Does it have after-school care? (I believe someone asked this before too :D)

      Thank you!

    • RE: All About Home Addresses

Actually this is very confusing!! 🙂 Oh dear, please bear with me...

My in-laws are shifting out, and we bought another place (TOP in 2012) for ourselves. Which address should we use now?? The current one (that I am staying in), or the one to be TOP-ed, which I may sell in future? Can't be use all of them right?
