so you should really thank me for advising you to cling onto your HIPS priority, right? šŸ˜‰

but u never ask me to join in the discusions :!:

what to discuss? you already secured a place what. and you don't do pv or ballot to get your place, so hardly can value-add to the discussion! :!: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc18/jedamum/Ido%20Icon/eek3.gif\">
will people asked about how you feel about HIPS? i don't think that is important, cos by statistics it is a hot school even without any apparent feedback about it's school culture or education standards. šŸ˜‰[/quote]Oops not discuss but if i knew earlier i dun have to take so long to make decision  šŸ˜‰

the most impt thg is the kid has to be Kiasu and not the parents

šŸ˜‰ kiasukids.com...hm...i thought we already have some pioneers here? šŸ˜‰
anyway, my boy will not tend to go down the kiasu lane, cos we focused quite a fair bit on not giving in to peer pressure (aka how to say NO)...on the other side of the coin, going with the flow in the rat race, to him, is part and parcel of peer pressure  (his stand....'others learn this and this does not mean i must learn this and this', 'others get full marks does not mean i must get full marks....so long i learn can already right?')

i cant believe these words are from u šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰
are we switching role now

actually my mgt style is like flying kite \"pull & release\" šŸ˜›

Initially, he cant spell words like pig, cow. mud ...and was stressed by the more difficult words like \"mountains\", \"people\" \"crane\" ....
what i did was to teach him ONE word at a time/ a day ...and start with the difficult one, once he can spell the difficult ones will boost his confident with the subsequent simpler words ..

The thing with kids who think they can't spell is that they are more careful.
The thing with kids who think that spelling is easy is that they are careless šŸ˜›

All is not lost. It is afterall only spelling tests.

Not sms - PM. Go to the top of this page and click on the link that says \"You have no new messages\" - don't bother what it says, it doesn't seem to work in some cases. You should get a new window with your personal messages.

      i'v got it. Thx šŸ˜„

i guess my P1 boy's english level is equivalent to those \"well-prepared\"K1 kids. Till now, he still can't read a pre-sch story book all by himself ...

he was terrified by the spelling list given by the sch on the 2nd week.

So far he has done 2 spelling in school, and i'm happy with the results.
However, next week spelling are more difficult eg. aeroplane, umbrella ...
      more challenging for me šŸ˜ž

anyway this will be the whole life commitment, better think twice.

Yes. Whether we do get another ninja turtle or a princess, it will impact our other 2 kids. The other day, i saw a family with 3 kids. The elder 2 boys are around the same age gap as my boys (i think, from their size and mannerism). The younger boy is pretty active (like my ds2). And their youngest is a princess. Obviously daddies love their princesses and hence the protectiveness. The middle child isn't matured enough to control rough play and I can see him being told off a couple of times by both the parents and the elder bro. Guess that's part of being a middle child too. The parents may be right to control the little boy's behaviour, but hopefully the little boy won't think that it is wholly due to the little sister.

isn't this applies to all scenario ..let it be a boy or birl, attention & protectiveness will always go the the youngest šŸ˜‰
