I inquired about school bus service today and is shocked that the fee is 160-180 :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:


The service provider said the high cost is due to lack of volume as it is a new school. Another mummy said Compassvale Pri is only charging 70.

Parents with children in the student care, can you share if the optional assessment books are necessary and used? Don't want to end up buying something that they are not going to make use of.

I am surprised there are 6 kids in K2 classes !! DS cc has 20 !!! His class has always been big ranging between 14 - 20. I thought is normal since 2007 seems to have more kids.

Yes I thought Higher Chinese start in P3, but the VP said no, only P5, he said depending on school cos some start from P1. My concern is would starting in P5 be too late and too big a jump for the kids. Anyway DS is not strong in Chinese, I would be happy he can cope with normal Chinese


I think there is no textbook for STELLAR, I am not sure how tough it is compared to the normal English program. As for PAL, I have no idea what it is too. Maybe is Learning through Play kind of thingy ?

What does the parent support group do ?

Tis yr , they do have a June holiday programme on Chinese brush painting for interested students.


Principal said they r highly likely to start an art club as cca wen current batch of p1 reaches p3 .

I saw wat they learnt during their music lessons on their open house fb page ( now removed) , the students actually get to learn to play the keyboard. Each student w one keyboard. Quite interesting.

Oh sorry I was not clear, I meant school will end late on days they have PAL program.

They are using Stellar for English, if I am not wrong. Higher Chinese will only start in P5.

I think is great to have a "no homework on Friday" policy.


DS loves to doodle so it would be great to have an arts&craft enrichment. I saw some beautiful artwork on display during Open House but I don’t think those are done by the current P1 students. I saw some pieces with other School names on it.

I wish they have alternatives for sports enrichment as well.

I understand that there will be a few days where school will be late for the PAL program. Hope to get more infor during Orientation.

I would like to enrol DS in Robotics as well. I have no idea what it involves guessing something with building stuff and programming etc. So yeah would like to give him a try. But don't think this will be available from the beginning of the year.


Oh I hope they would have more stalls in the canteen for next year. I only saw a drink stall, a Muslim food and a Chinese stall. Maybe some days would pack him sandwich instead

Sk green is the nearest and next is fernvale pri but I prefer sk green. New schools won't be able to take in my girl cause there are no upper level classes for her.

SK Green, Springdale and Palm View all started operations this year. That means this year they only have P1 class. Next year P1 and P2 classes. 2015 P1 to P3.

is there any particular reason why you are only looking at SK Green ? Distance ? You are not considering other nearby school ? Palm view and Springdale are new schools too.


Need to reach SK Green at 745am, class starts at 8am. What is the time difference if she transfers ?
