      Hi,

Is there any parents whose child residing in the west studying at SengKang Green? Like to know how are your child coping so far with the travelling distance.
I know someone who is staying in Sengkang drives his kids to NYPS everyday. It is an elite school & usually filled up in phase 2B. It is unlikely for someone to travel from west to a neighbourhood school in Sengkang everyday.

But from the information I gathered from Sk Green Pri Sch Bus Company that there are actually students from bt batok, clementi…studying in Sk Green. I will be moving from west to sk in end 2015 or early 2016, seeing the high demand in this yr pri1 registration. I am thinking to transfer my girl to this school in beginning of 2015 so that my boy can register in phase 1 for 2016 pri 1 but still subject to vacancy for my girl. Thus want to know how the kids from west side are coping with the travelling distance.

I read in some earlier posts that students were posted out to new schools thus there could be a few who would be living in the west or east, I don’t think the parents actually chose the school. SK Green had vacancies since it only started operation this year.

ysxk, I personally feel it is too tiring for the child. Would your child be able to concentrate in class or would she be too tired ?

            Hi mamii,

Called sk green and they said there are already students in waiting list this yr so I really afraid in 2016 will there be vacancy for her and my boy if register in phase 2c can get in. I hope to have them in same school. My girl also need to wake up early if she study in her current school cause they need to reach school by 6.45am. But then to sk green the journey is definitely longer.

is there any particular reason why you are only looking at SK Green ? Distance ? You are not considering other nearby school ? Palm view and Springdale are new schools too.

Need to reach SK Green at 745am, class starts at 8am. What is the time difference if she transfers ?

The demand at registration is really unforeseeable. If u are looking at only sk green then try ur best n start early. But really, when child don't have sufficient rest over time, it will b betrimental to their development.

Anyone knows when we can apply for student care? Was told at open house during enquiry with ymca that school will give forms when secured a place in the school. I called their student care tel at sk green website but no answer.

The student care registration form was given to me on the day when I registered with the school

                        Hi mamii,

Sk green is the nearest and next is fernvale pri but I prefer sk green. New schools won’t be able to take in my girl cause there are no upper level classes for her.
