Assuming the kids are notified that they get into the second round only on 8th October, that means the kids have only 1 week to prepare themselves for the selection test on 16th and 17th Oct. It seems rush to me.

Would the GEPPERs have privilege in their DSA applications? Do they need to identify themselves in the applications nowadays? A few years ago, some schools' application forms would need the applicant to state if he/she is a GEPPER .
You still need to declare gep status in many school (include both HCI and RI) application form. However, it doesnt mean you have privilage. Based on this year dsa results, i would say it's more like u have to compete with other geppers in the same domain. -
