Your DS can read the Student Handbook for the school rules. They're no different from those of most sec schools in SG.

Hi there, I thought that for IP students, they get to go Catholic Junior College but what is this Eunoia JC?


For IP program, when and how does the school judge whether one can go to JC or ask to sit for O level if one fail to do well?

I am not sure students who take O level track, are there priority given to go Catholic Junior College? Or still base on cut off point?

Anyone can pm me if information is not advise to show here. Thanks.

Hi, IP students go to Eunoia JC, together with IP students from Singapore Chinese Girls’ School and CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School. Eunoia JC is a new government JC. It is currently located at Mt Sinai, a temporary holding site. It will move to Sin Ming, at the site currently holding a golf course, in 2020. IP students will sit for a test at the end of Year 4, to see whether they are qualified. If they are not doing so well, they will usually be transferred out of IP and into the O-level stream in Year 2. And yes, O-level students will gain an advantage of a deduction of two points into Catholic JC, like all other Catholic Schools, namely: Assumption English School, Catholic High School, CHIJ Katong Convent, CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh), CHIJ St. Joseph’s Convent, CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School, CHIJ St. Theresa’s Convent, Hai Sing Catholic School, Holy Innocents’ High School, Maris Stella High School, Montfort Secondary School, St. Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School, St. Gabriel’s Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Institution and St. Patrick’s School, according to Wikipedia.
