      Hi ,

My child is in Queenstown Pri. He enjoys going to school. There are lot of activities organized for kids such as Sports/Swimming Carnival, MTL festival, JA ( Financial literacy), Math , Lit enrichment , bowling enrichment for P4 n 5 etc. Students are encouraged to play with sport equipments during recess.
Principal is hands-on and I am assured that the school is in good hands.

Thanks for your kind advice. It seems Queestown primary school is gaining popularity this year. Likely fully taken in 2C. I'm watching Zhangde and Queenstown. Tomorrow I'll go to register at school.

I think it's going to be like that from now on for Qtps bcos of the new estates.
5 Hdb from SERS and 3 condos that's either up or on the way up.
Not to mention the other 2 big Hdb flats already there, which were new 3yrs ago.

Hi maxbear, for the new address, do they look at the probable completion date or delivery possession date? Cos my delivery possession date is more than 2 years from entering P1 while my probably completion date is within the 2 years..

They look at DPD, as long as it is by 30 Dec 2020. A little over they might consider also according to Moe website. Mine is 30 Nov 2020.

Those student of high abilities are stretched in Math olympiad and E2K maths...and science programme.
I just registered this morning! As of 12pm, there's 18 slots available. I'm within 1km, hope will be in bcos I saw at the school, 2 other parent using their new address (yet to be completed property), just like me...

Dear Parents, I need advice on phase 2C choice

      1) Holy Innocents,
      2) XinMin Primary or
      3) Hougang Primary?
We are in the 1-2km zone for all 3. If you have only 1 chance and not go for balloting, which would you go for?
Holy Inn has balloting for 2B 1-2km, and oversubscribed by double of vacancy. Can bet that if those didn't get in, they'll try again in 2C. Unless you want to try your luck.
The other 2 has a high take up rate also, and need to consider that 2C is a huge number compared to other phases.

Hi, I’m SC over 2km from Cantonment. I’m considering the school under phase 2C. Would I stand a chance? Based on year 2012 there was 160 TUR over 190 that was Dog year. Just wondering if more SC will choose Cantonment especially those who didn’t qualify in earlier phase at other schools.

Yup. Quite unlikely to have 70 within 1km. Queenstown is not like Punggol where flats / projects pop up every month.

For one thing, at least I don't have to worry about the other 4 upcoming blocks/sites bcos the DPD is out of the 30mths timeline. As my block will be completed first. Just abit worried for the 2 biggest blocks that is already there, Skyville and SkyTerrace at Dawson. Also, if those who apply at the popular school close by in earlier phase, eg. 2b and don't get in, I know of some who have Qtps as a backup plan. Hopefully I'm so wrong and don't have to worry about it. In 2c really anything can happen.

Yes nerve wrecking!!! Check the sch in your area, if no PV quite safe. And if you know the GRL total then will ease your mind. Like for me, the sch I want has no PV and I heard from inside sources there's only less than 10 GRL but they're sure aiming for the popular sch.
I just want to see the final numbers but very sure I can get in the sch bcos it's less than 1km. Currently 71 slots for 2B and 71 for 2C. I'm expecting at least 90% or more to rollover from 2B.

I think if you are looking at Queenstown Primary, you can sleep easy.

Yes I think so too tho there's lots of new estates come up there and some still coming up. I'm applying under my new address there also. In the DPD timeline so I can use that address. But can't be over 70 within 1km right? (Exception to Punggol area only I suppose.)

Hi, my FB mummy group friend teaches in Westwood and her son's in P1 next year too. Seems like a really good sch from the reviews and from what i see her posting. The teachers are very united.
Not sure about the other schools, but maybe google and read reviews there and on the sch FB page.
I'm also under 2C, but my area is Queesnstown. Can't wait until our turn in 2 weeks! Good luck to us all!!

:salute: :salute: really nerve-wracking to see the number of vacancies drop after every stage.
