Does anybody know a good Wu Shu place in the West, preferably around the Choa Chu Kang area?

    • RE: All About Dancing

I am really passionate about dancing, but I don’t know how to express it to my parents, because everytime I talk to them about outside enrichment classes, they tend to shut off? I don’t know why. Most parents usually would really love their kid to go. What should I do to make them be more aware and get me to sign up? I have even went to far measures of going to the CC and taking the brochures or flyers. What should I do? 😧

    • RE: Learning The Guitar

I am 14 yrs, and I have a guitar that I have just stopped learning a few months ago, because the course ended. The thing is, I really, really want to continue learning, but everytime I ask my Mom, which is, about 20 times, she always says she will do it, but she never does. I feel really rejected and sad. What should I do to get her to start being more aware?

    • RE: Looking For CIP in Holidays Or Weekends

Thanks, but I don’t think my parents will feel very safe or comforted with me being overseas, and they won’t have the time to come along with me. 😧

    • RE: Class Outings

I am a Sec 2 student and I want to organise a class outing for this year's class. My class is not very bonded, and I want to organise this. There are more girls than boys, and I was wondering where my class could go to? Somewhere that can won't be so expensive, but fun? Thanks! 😄

Thanks! However, I’ve decided that maybe I should volunteer somewhere else that is more suited to my surroundings. For e.g, Befriending one-on-one.

    • RE: Roller blading in CCK

Personally, as a child, I learn rollerblading myself, but I think it would be better. If I recall, CCK Complex holds several Beginner and Advanced Inline Skating classes. Your child might also be able to join an interest group on rollerblading and start there.

Hi. I am a Secondary 2 student, and although I know I'm not a parent, I came here upon knowing about this site because I know parents are really serious about their kids and children's education and well-being. I am looking for CIP work around Singapore for Secondary 2's to fulfill my NYAA And CIP Hours. I so far only have 35 hours and I know I have a lot of time but after volunteering a few times, I found out I liked volunteering and wanted to go beyond the 100 hour requirements needed. Does any parent where to volunteer? THANKS. 🙂

It's really good to see young students like you take on roles of volunteering. I hope that your passion for volunteering will continue growing, and perhaps a few years down the road, you'll be joining me volunteering at CDAC.

By the way, I'm an NYAA Gold holder, so if you're interested in going for higher levels of the Award, you can PM me to find out how did I find my activities. 😄

Thanks! I'm actually keen in volunteering in a few years time. There's so many age limits. My friend and I are both very enthusiastic about these kind of activities and I hope in the future they will provide more opportunities for younger children. Volunteering should have no boundaries. 🙂
