My son (P2) was bullied by 3 kids in his primary school, they hit him and kicked him in gang (3 of them) without a valid reason, the teacher called me after the incident, but not sure if the school has warned the 3 kids. I tried to comfort my kid and asked him not to play around in school and there must be something they are not happy with my son. Sad to say there is nothing I can do with it. I told my son not to become a bully like them and he've learned the lesson too. I think parent play a big role in these kind of incidents, it is good that children can learn how cruel the outside world in the early stage, they need to learn how to deal with bully from young age. When they've grown up someday, they will also encounter bully in the workplace. What we can do as parent is to make them a better person.

Getting money back from relatives is very difficult, if the person has no intention to pay you back, you can’t do anything about it.

If you ask them to pay you back, most outsider will think that you are so cruel/stingy to your own family/relatives, worse if the person ‘act’ like victim…
If you don’t ask them, you are going to suffer financially and mentally, it would even worsen your relationship with the person.

I couldn’t get my money back too, few thousands of hard earned money gone. I keep telling myself to let go and treat it as charity to help him/her, afterall, they are my family.

So, I tell myself this: I will never borrow any amount of money to my family members / relatives, if they ask for money from me, I just give them what I can afford to loss but will not expect them to pay me back.

Thank you so much to stating your opinions here. I think everyone has a point, let’s share our thoughts openly and I believe we can benefit from it.
Well, why govt introduce maid levy at the first place? simply because govt thought that ‘Maid’ is considered a ‘luxury’ in a household.

-Yes, may be it is a ‘luxury’ if you are rich and your wife wants to be a ‘Tai Tai’ at home, this group of ppl don’t mind to pay the maid levy.

-No, I believe majority of us are not that rich, we have no choice but to employ a maid to take care of our baby/children/elderly/bedridden family members while we are struggling at work. The maid is not ‘luxury’ but ‘necessity’ for us, hence ‘Maid Levy’ should be abolished if majority of employers are under this group.

We shall not think too much or fear of what govt will do after the maid levy was abolished, Govt always has their ways to make money out from us even if we already paid our maid levy on time.

We just want a channel to express our concerns, that’s all.

I will start facebook petition in these few days time, but need some legal advice before I start.
