    • RE: School boy killed outside school gate

Some principal’s mentality is that safety measures in school can be controlled but out of school may not be controllable.

There were some kids loitering around the car parks near to the school playing ball at the car park entrance and dashing on the roads of the car park. i called the school and informed them and followed up with an email.
a teacher was sent to the scene but the kids ran off when they saw the teacher and no one was caught. the VP replies my email and tiold me that rje kids need to de-stress after exam and this may be what they do to de-stress.

Playing and dashing across roads at car parks is dangerous. Fortunately no one was knocked by. But I guess the VP was right, i need to give them space to de-stress. i need to mind my own business.

MBA is light and convenient. The system shuts down pretty fast too.

      Accessories you may need:
ethernet adaptor, no network port on MBA
      external disc drive
      USB port extension

MBA has 2 USB ports only. so if you are using more than 2 USB devices, will nee to get an extension to expand the number of usb ports to accomodate
printer, wireless mouse, thumb drive, external hard disk, etc.

A 16gb thumb drive will be helpful to replace the cd drive. copy the cd or dvd to the 16gb thumb drive using another computer and use the thumb drive to install te programs.

If weight is a concern, MBA would be preferred.

My MBA is the old model, so not sure if the latest specs already cater for these shortcomings.
      cheers.

I heard NYGS short of appeals of potential DSA students and have to pathetically accept Appeals from those less than COP ...

Why do u humiliate the sch and this batch of successful appeal girls? Are they of lesser worth than the potential dsa students? Are they not someone else's precious dd who also hv dream schs of their own? :gloomy: do students of lower cop not deserve to hv their dreams fulfilled too?

      :salute:

    • RE: DSA Appeal 2011

      zeemimi:
Most of the time is the parents. At the end of the day, what msg are we sending to our children? Is ok to break agreements made for our own convenience or advantage?

Parents should realise that dsa is not a backup plan. If we think there is a possibility that we want another sch, should the results allow, then don't accept the CO. give others who want that co badly.

it is a similar situation as scholarship bond breakers.
Maybe MOE could keep such appeal cases on record and used as reference when the applicant applies for scholarship later.
Something about leopards and spots, or was it tiger and stripes :? ...

That will give parents another consideration when deciding to accept DSA and later appeal against it fro their DSs and DDs.

      Just my 2-cents.

You may also wish to consider that some places are already taken during DSA.
