millan:Hi,Would like to find out what u do if your kids did not follow rules:1) overshot computer time , ban or deduct future hours2) if the kid does not consumed the entitlement can carry forward ?Thks1) ban them? no, so far I hv not ban them for exceeding their play time. But, they do get lots of   Normally, 5 or 10 mins before their play time is up. i will remind them abt it, sort of to psych them up first 2) I do allow them.Or they may think \" die, die must play. Otherwise will expire!\" That said, no 2 families' parenting styles are identical, and no 2 kids will behavior or response in the same way.We can only see, hear or read about what others do when they are in the same situation as us, and then adapt it for our own use cheers!

Previous year, DD had fever for all exams and during math exam, she suddenly got sore throat and blocked nose. The illness continued & just before the science exam, she had very severe blocked nose & slept for only 2 h. So worried for her during that period! Doctor wrote MC using acronyms & not sure if SEAB understood what it meant. Yup, an apprehensive experience indeed & good luck guys!

millan:joconde:Hi millan,Was your son already anti-social during primary sch days? perhaps he couldn't adapt to the new sch environment, thus becomes evasive and unsociable ? Perhaps you can find out from his teacher how he's coping at sch. Since he likes books so much, you can create opportunity for him to socialise more by visiting the library together as a family outing, then suggest going for a meal or movie after that, etc ... can even ask friends, his old classmates or cousins out together, visit bookstores, book fairs, etc.He always said he dun require friend, tho he does have 1 or 2 closer friend in pri school. When he is Sec 1, he is really lone ranger.. you might think he may be quiet and reserved. Truth is he is very outspoken, as a result, he makes weird remarks abt pple. Teacher said he even poke fun at pple is his written work.. He can socialise , a matter whether he want anot. He always think he can survive by himself but very weary that pple will attack him and so always is in defencsive mode....Really worried that he becomes that kind of ellite. With IQ no EQ.If possible try to get him to watch dramas which emphasize friendship or teamwork.

daiystevery yr the batch takes different combi from another batch. So the sch can’t give exact reply. It is possible for one class to take pure Sci (3 subjects) & pure Humanities (either Lit or Geo). It is Sec 4 batch this yr. But not Sec 3 batch this yr (1 class pure Sci with combine Humanities). There isn’t any powerpoint on the subj combi offered. Neither is there book list for Sec 2 to 4 for me to check Lit texts.

peh-boo:studies have proven that the 1st 6 years of a child's life n growth is the most critical - how u develop them.and from 7-12 is known as maintenance years.from 13 onwards, u may not see much of them anymore. That is why it is worrying cos this is the stage they start to argue and have their own thinking..
