Hi,
wonder anyone has started to experience your child's CC giving u notice that the fees will be increased. I wonder is it because of the increased in subsidy that government is giving us that these CCs are taking chance to increase their fees.
Mine Son CC's just gave the parent's notification (2mths notice) that their fees will increase by $60/mth. Is this justifiable? any comments? I would like to have some inputs from parents

RE: Do you encourage your kid's interest in art?
initially i thot whiteboard is a good idea too..in the end, my hubby brought one from popular..my son draws and draws and he extends his drawings (with lines and cirles) beyong the whiteboard :x in the end....i need to wipe my walls and floors...but this lasted awhile only...he had since gone back to his papers liao...
has anyone tried the Community clubs art courses for kids? is it good? i saw the tread for arts boot camp..but find it a bit far for me to send... -

RE: What to do when your child asks for enrichment classes?
suddenly has this question - does boys and gals reacts differently with regards to enrichments courses? need some feedback on this.
does gals usually will request parents to bring them to class like drawing, swimming etc?
i was asking my 4yr old boy ‘would he like to learn tekwando?’ he responded ’ ok lor’…then ‘hmmm…dun wan lah’…
then I pop another question ’ would you like to go for drawing class or music lesson?’ he responded ’ i want both…’ in a cheeky way…so make me wonder should i or should i not send him to these classes…worried in the end, he doesn’t like it. waste the $$ and time… -
RE: How much $$$ do you spend on your Pre-schooler?
oh what i meant is my 4yr old boy only started his nursery this year..before that his daily activity is play and play plus attend GUG during weekends. I've stopped the GUG after my boy started his nursery.
as I'm a FTWM, it's very tough to spend quality time with my elder boy while my ds2 still clinging on me (as i'm still breastfeeding) to add-on, I'm staying with my 80plus MIL with the TV on at home almost 12hrs a day..so u can imagine the challenge :x
my hubby say it's esstential for boys to learn swimming so thought of getting the both to learn together. Called aquaducks to check but on waitlist liao.. :? -
RE: How much $$$ do you spend on your Pre-schooler?
hihi,
CC teacher commented that my ds1 doesn't really seems to be interested in learning..might also becos my boy only started to attend pre-school in a church kindergarten early this early for 1term afterwhich i switched him to a full day CC. so compare to those started earlier from the same CC, he is behind time. from the way he hold the pencil to the way he write his name lor... so i worried that he's trying to act not interested cos he's not confident enough...i need to find a way to brush up his writing skills....any courses for this?
i've tried spending one weekend afternoon coaching him to write properly..in the end...almost give up :x my boy just talk n talk n talk..communication skills super but motor skills (like writing) bad..or is it I'm too paranoid? -
RE: How much $$$ do you spend on your Pre-schooler?
now my turn to stress
4yr old son - full day CC @ $580/mth with speech and drama lesson once a week @ CC (from ARTs).
- arranging art & craft lessons
plus a 1yr old 2nd son - intending to throw him with the elder brother to the same CC
plus swimming lessons $120/mth
that counts to be $1160/mth for CC only. pocket already 1 hole burnt..after reading the rest, I now stress whether to sign up more enrichment classes for my ds1 after teacher @ CC comment that my sons need to catch up.. :?
