    • RE: How to handle child who talked back

You might need to check what is the cause of the child’s "talking back" and also depends on what is your definition of talking back.

It might be that the child is trying to tell you something and was ignored after several attempts.

It might also be that the child in being influenced by external factors, such as siblings or friends around them.

Sit them down and solve the issue. Children these days will not be taught using the method that we are brought up with all the canings and punishments.

    • RE: Need advise

Might not be a good idea to pressurize him with too many assessment books also revision. Check with his teachers what are the topics that they are revising and also check with your boy if he is coping well. Play time is definitely very important to him, ensure him that he will get his sufficient play time while at the same time, guide him through his homework and revision.

Do not overstretch his studying time and ensures that he sleeps on time as sufficient sleep is very critical for a child's focus in class. Might want to prepare some homecooked food which is healthy and nutritious for him to boost his immune system to prevent him from falling sick.

      Hope this helps, cheers 🙂

    • RE: Club KSP Photography

I would agree that photography is an art. It takes a talented eye to notice very good photography. however, photography is also an art that can be taken up easily. With the advances of technologies and mobile phones, even your smart phone is able to capture photos with high quality. All you need is just the correct angle and right lighting.

    • RE: Are Singapore students too stressed out?

The stress level in SG education system is definitely very high as many parents are very competitive and sends their children to all types of enrichment programs and activities. All these activities will keep piling up on top of the school work that the child already have on hand. Thus causing more stress on them. Best to let them do what curriculum they want to improve interest.

    • RE: Why failure is good for our child?

Some people only learn from failure. And your child might just be one of them. To have everything going successfully in their life, they do not understand how is it like to fail. To fail, is to learn. And being their parents, we should encourage them and help them through their failure. That’s how we help them grow.

    • RE: All About Life Without Maids

      Hello there. 🙂

Having a maid or not does have its own pros and cons.
Of course, things around the house would be easier to handle, smoother to do, as well as lesser chores to complete. However, if you grow dependent on your maid, it would be disastrous. Your children will also start to be dependent on her and she will be having alot of tasks to do. Even a simple task like getting a cup of water, your child will also order the maid to do it, which will encourage laziness to grow in your child.
This is very harmful as children should be in an environment where they should be growing independently with some help but not being dependent on others.

    • RE: All About Bullying

I must agree that prevent situations like that depends a lot on us(parents), slightly on teachers and peers as well. I have heard from my boy about bullying situations in school, and I told him to tell the teachers if he ever sees it again. I also told him that he shouldn’t get involved as it might put him as risk to bullies.

Children with smaller frames are also a target for bullies as I have heard from many people that the bullied are always the smaller kids.

Please refrain from encouraging your children to bullying others be it verbal or physical as it might boost their "bullying confidence". It will harm them in the near future when they grow up and realised that there are bigger bullies out there.

    • RE: Club Daiso

Daiso is wonderful, everything is sold @ $2. Whenever i bring my kids there, we can spend hours inside even without buying anything because they really sell quite interesting things. Most of the time we leave Daiso with a lot of food as my boys really like sweet stuffs so we always end up buying many tidbits and snacks. However, in order to control their sweet intake, they will have to earn a certain amount of snacks by completing a task etc. Helps alot in the household when it gets too much for me to handle.

    • RE: All About CCA

Hello there. CCAs will be an important part of your child’s school life. It will be where they find their interest and also joy in life. Allowing them to choose their own CCAs is very important as school work can be very demanding and they need a channel for them to relieve stress in. My girl love sports, I would encourage her to do whichever sports she likes as long as I know that she is safe and sound. She enjoys playing basketball and netball which I will fully support her in as I could see how happy she is everytime she comes home from training even though its very tiring for her.

    • RE: iphone 6

Apple Watch prices have dropped. So will iPhone 6S/6SPLUS. iPhone SE is coming out, with the specs as good as 6S/6SPLUS but just in the size of iPhone 5S, definitely a worth buy. Compact and fast.

Who's considering to change your iPhone 6S/6SPLUS to iPhone SE now?? 😂

iPhone SE has Rose Gold too. 🙂
