Just to keep the post alone, now that St Nicks has got IP status, would the old girls want their daughters to return to SNGS (Sec)? I feel that we’ve lost many good students to the IP schools.

RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]
Hi atutor2001, thanks for your feedback. It is quite worrying as dd is one of those who need to be 'pushed'. So if she gets one of the 'bochap' teachers, it would be...

RE: Q&A - PSLE Math
Hi vanilla cake, where can we get the prelim papers that you listed?
If there is no centralised place, would any parents with p6 children from those schools be interested in swapping? I’ve got the prelim paper from nanyang. -
RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]
Hi parents of current or ex-Rgs girls, my dd has been offered a place at Rgs through dsa.
But I heard comments that some ip teachers do not teach much and that learning is left ver much to the pupils themselves.
So I would really appreciate it if I could get feedback about rgs’ programmes from parents who have or had girls in the Rgs ip programme. -

Hi learning partners, thanks for sharing.
I hope you can share more less-known things about english with us parents. -
RE: CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' Secondary
As an old St Nicks’ girl, I’m glad that we finally got IP status. Now, finally we can offer something attractive to entice the creme de la creme.

RE: BOOK Fairs
My family are readers but we try to avoid buying books. Too expensive and take up too much space!
We rely on the nlb which is world-class and book rental shops. -
RE: Quirky Grammar & Other Obscure Things Good To Know
Thanks, learning partners.
I’m struck by the fact that I’ve been pronouncing ‘debt’ and ‘doubt’ wrongly for the past 40 years. How embarrassing! And to think that I’ve been teaching dd the wrong thing too. Must correct the mistake!
This is really useful and interesting. With all the emphasis of speaking good English now, it’s really important to present a good image upfront. Do you have any more examples to share?
