My girl is also in Pro-Teach but another branch. She is very happy there and always comes back with interesting stories to share.

My nephew is in Choa Chu Kang Branch. I recommended my sis to put her son there. She told me that the teachers there are very patient.

    • RE: Advice on Tuition Centres and Thanks

I just read this as I am new. Guess your child is in P5 this yr. If his/her results are not ideal, you have to quickly do something. else he/she will be demoralised. P5 is a foundation for Psle. this is extremely impt.

the difference between P4 and P5 exam format is huge!
      P4 Eng Compre OE: 5 to 7 qn = 10-14 marks
      P5 Eng Compre OE: 10 qn = 20marks

      P4 Eng Synthesis: 0 - 3 qn = 0-6 marks
      P5 Eng Synthesis: 5qn = 10marks

      P4 Eng Compre Cloze (Cloze Passage without helping words): 0 - 5qn = 0-5marks
P5 Eng Compre Cloze (Cloze Passage without helping words): 15qn = 15 marks

      P4 Math Prob Sums: 5 - 7qn = 20-35marks
      P5 Math Prob Sums: 13 qn = 55 marks

There is a big jump. Normally, students dont do well in P5 CA1. Gotta do something for them before they think its difficult to excel and score in PSLE!

    • RE: DATING IN PRIMARY 3

Wow! WOw! P3! i guess i still did not know the difference between a boy and girl then.

If I were the girl’s mum who came back and felt very excited, i will take time to speak to her on this. Never ever let the 1st statement be YOU DONT DO THIS AH! you will close all possible sensitive communication in future.
My feel on kids now is that should they have bf/gf, it’s IN! So, the naggy part in us must disappear 1st. Make the girl feel you are IN, understand what they are going through, their emotions. then get her to speak to u. slowly, educate her what can be done and what cannot be done if she has a bf. objective is we want our children to confide in us.
well, i m not agreeing that they should start a relationship young, but i rem when i was younger, the more Mummy says NO, the more I want to DO it! hence, if they should step into a relationship, she must learn to protect herself and know what’s the priority - studies!

How can such people who have no love be in the education industry?

I hope things can be done to stop these actions of theirs! Who knows how many poor children have ‘suffered’ in their hands but have no courage to tell their parents.

Have you tried Pro-Teach Student Care? They have several branches in SG. Their Admiralty Branch is at Blk 710. They are very academic focused. You can give them a try.
