      Hi,

I am a homemaker and am also very interested in getting automatic vacuum. I saw one in Best which is called naviBot that costs $799. Anybody used it before ? Any comments ?

      Thank you.
      Hi, pandan
I actually wouldn't consider the navibot, firstly, the price is very much higher than a iRobot Roomba and the Neato Vx-11(the only Robot which seems to be comparable to the Roomba in the US) and i have heard that the suction power is very very weak, its basically a sweeper. maybe this review can help you. http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=13492 anyway, I recently purchased the iRobot Roomba 560 for $529 from http://www.autovacstore.com, really happy with results, picks up a ton of fine dust and i feel healthy too with lesser allergens in my home!! Hope you make the right choice. Cheers to cleaner homes!!

      Hi fifi,

With the scooba, do you still need a mop? Don’t really like the idea of spreading used and dirty water from room to room with a Mop. Anyway, the scooba claims to use only clean solution on the floor and stores the used and dirty water in the dirty tank and it even kills bacteria. Is your scooba performing well after muiti-usage? A bit concerned about its promises, especially the kills bacteria part, cos seems too good to be true.

Anyone tried the Neato Vx-11, seems to be smarter than the Irobot roomba in some reviews from the US. It doesn’t require much maintenance of brushes and has a Laser-based Room Positioning System sees everything in the room, avoids bumping into walls and furniture. Retails for around $599 with local warranty and free delivery. much cheaper than the iclebo, seems to be just as smart or smarter and cleans well too.

thks fifiyeo, i will go google on it. if really my maid leave in another 1.5 yr times, i will consider getting all the \"robots\" to ease my burden..

Hi chloecube, may want to consider the neato VX-11, Read some reviews, seems to be very advanced, with the laser sensing and all. my Roomba 560 seems a little too random for my liking. I read an interesting review comparing the Roomba with it here. http://autovacstore.com/cms.php?id_cms=14
But would like to get some advice from other who actually used it.

i recently bought a iRobot roomba 560 for around $500 with a 1 year warranty from i recently bought a iRobot roomba for around $500 from autovacstore.com and it came with a 1 year warranty from http://www.autovacstore.com. i am really happy and surprised by the amount of fine dust it picks up in its filters.

Anyway, I am considering the iRobot scooba now. Its seems unable to reach the corners of the rooms as its round-shaped. Anyone used it before, could kindly provide some feedback?

    • RE: All About Part-Time Maids

i used to have a part time maid, but just felt the charges were too high and i had to supervise them while they work, wasting my time and effort. recently got a irobot roomba from a singapore website, http://www.autovacstore.com, pretty surprised that prices are really affordable now (ard $500), even cheaper than if i were to bring it in myself from the US, anyway so far its been able to pick up lots of fine dust, and i am waking up with less allergens in the air.

    • RE: All About Vacuum Cleaner

i actually did some research about the iclebo, before buying the roomba 560, just felt that it doesn't actually mop the floor, just uses a mirco fiber cloth to wipe the floor, the scooba actually uses cleaning solution and it vacuums and squeakies the surface, seems like it leaves the floors cleaner. Anyway, i saw the iclebo at the it show, seems like its of poor plastic quality. Read on some forum, here's a comparison u may useful http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1417413

Anyway I saw a demonstration of the scooba from autovacstore.com at my home and the guy actually used dettol floor solution in the scooba, seems like by doing so, could kill more bacteria and germs. He said that although irobot recommends that you use their specified cleaning solution, i could use dettol or kleen floor detergent, but i just had to rinse the tanks throughly after use and it would not void the warranty. Actually i just like the scooba's principle of laying only cleaning solution on the floor, as it stores the dirty solution in a separate tank and i could witness how dirty the water was after cleaning, kind of felt some satisfaction in that. hehe.

      Hi Chloecube,

Sorry I miss out on this.....I got my robots from a local parallel importer. The local distributor is selling it at a ridiculously high price. But you might still prefer to buy from them.

Anyway, here's where I got from http://www.autovacstore.com and they even provide free delivery.
Hey, i bought my Roomba 560 from http://www.autovacstore.com too. Was referred by a friend, paid $500 for it, so far so good. seems like it picks up a lot of fine dust that i would normally miss with a vacuum cleaner. and its quieter too. I am considering the iRobot scooba 380 now. Anyone used it before? Anyway, the delivery guy was really friendly and helpful too, he did a demostration of the scooba and showed me how dirty the water was after a cleaning cycle. But i am still considering it due its higher cost (around $700) and its seems unable to reach the corners of the rooms as its round-shaped. Anyone used it before, could kindly provide some feedback?

$838 for the iclebo is really ex, i recently bought a iRobot roomba for around $500 from autovacstore.com and it came with a 1 year warranty, still trying it out though. But i am really surprised by the amount of fine dust it picks up in its filters, cos i actually do clean my house regularly.
