My boy is registered for P1 in ACS Jr Yr 2010. Keep in touch! Am currently overseas, so will be nice to know if it is difficult to immerse him back in Singapore school system. I asked the students there for swimming lessons, they go to ACSP site for it. Do they go Keppel Club for swim? Interesting…

RE: Beacon Primary
Hi Vividlaurel and other Beacon Primary Parents,
You mention T2/3 will cover swimming and Wushu, are these activities assigned or you can choose from a list. And where would they do their swimming class? Do keep this thread active, as a potential parent to send my kid to Beacon next year - this really help with all these updates and feedback. Thanks!javascript:emoticon('8)')

Yes. you need to submit a fresh application.[/quote]Just to be sure - So everyone (incl those who fail ballot in 2B) vie for the no. of avail vacancies on the same grounds all over again in Phrase 2C base on distance if balloting, correct? -
RE: All About Primary Schools' Balloting History
If I fail at the ballot, does it automatically dump me into Phrase 2C or it would be I will have to apply afresh at the school of my choice, even if it is the same school? Help me understand this.

RE: 2009 P1 Registration Exercise for 2010 In-Take
So if I am only eligible for Phrase 2C for e.g. for School B, but currently registered for School A in Phrase 1, I can withdraw from School A and go to School B for later phrase registration? How fast is the process to withdraw? Thanks

RE: All About Parent Volunteers (PV)
Need clarifications - if one volunteers as PV, under Phase 2B if failed in getting a place, could one decide to choose another school under Phase 2C or better to stick to the original school under 2B phase?

RE: All About SAP Schools
Reading comments about affiliation or not etc, then wouldn’t it be better to just shortlist schools around one’s residence and pick the better of the lot, unless you happen to be residing in the popular school zone, but then again, we are all here cos we are kiasu parents! Guess the key is not to stress ourselves thereby stressing the kids out. Singapore schools in general are far better standards compared to other places where the vast difference can be seen in public vs private schools.

RE: All About Getting Priority Registration
Nope. Starting school for Yr 2011 and doing the research 1.5 yrs ahead of time. I have two boys, and would like to consider ACS Jr. As I was from a girl’s school, it is not to my advantage and my hubby is not PR/Sg either.

RE: All About Getting Priority Registration
Anyone can clarify? Let’s just say if one is a PV or belong to church/clan, opting to register under Phase 2B, but as school is popular, balloting required and result was unsuccessful. You will automatically fall into Phase 2C and will be subject to same selection criteria as those who targeted in Phase 2C all these while. Has there been situation where under Phase 2B say <1km failed and then under Phase 2C <1km is successful?
Am i complicating matter
