I am trying to get my dd to try mpm. see a lot of comments. mostly postive ones. i am staying in jurong wondering if pioneer mall center is good. is there one at the nanyang centre? need some help here? thanks :salute:

Buds, ya, for you, you send your kids to school mainly for them to socialise cos you can homeschool them on the MOntessori/ knowledge aspects.


Ocean33, i think most church kindy around this area are not childcare centers, so they normally take in from 3 or 4yo.

St Francis of Assisi has 2 kindies in Jurong. One at Boon Lay and the other at Jurong West (near Rulang Pr that area). I can't find their website, not sure if they have, even though I googled.

ocean, the MMI at JW Ext (the stadium/ swim complex) is a childcare center. Is that what you want?

You have to call them up and best visit them to see if you like it.
If you want church kindy, there quite a no. of good ones in JW too. I heard from many mommies in this area that Jurong Calvary is very good. Then there is St Francis of Assisi too...

i check with jurong calvary and they told me that they take in only min 4yrs anyway is full already. as for st francis of assisi, where is it?? good ?? thanks for your info. will check it out. stress trying to get a good preschool for my son. is that the same for everyone???

did anyone has any idea about the modern montessori school at this pioneer stadium in Jurong west. i am looking for a school for my son to go to next year. he will be attending playgroup class. wanted somewhere that is fun and good.i am not restricting myself to montessori. actually prefer some church kindergarten. any suggestion?

Xingnan Primary is a well-established school in JW area; did you attend their open-house? If you are <1km under Phase 2C, try your luck there 1st! :rahrah: From the past history - West grove is definitely having balloting over at phase 2C - and it more favorable towards those staying within <1km...and that radius already covers big areas because there are too many housing flats surrounding that school!

I guess your logic is right but as a kiasu mum, sometimes you jus don't want to jus give up even before the battle. i will be going to XN open house to take a look. :evil: before i use my chance i will analyse my the numbers.

does anyone know about xingnan primary school? how is their standard and culture?? i am in the dilemma of choosing west grove and xingnan for my girl p1 registration. i heard west grove has a high tendency of over subscribed. in fact i am staying very very near xingnan pri. i am afraid that i may end up in the balloting group for west grove and landed in school not preferred. pls advised. thks :?
