      Hi,

My child is in P1 Rosyth this year. Any advice on how to cope during recess? So far he has not made any friends as he is rather introverted. Therefore, he is by himself during recess. All advice welcome.

Noted that there is enrichment classes for P1 English and Chinese on Saturdays at Rosyth. Any idea if we should send our kids for these classes, as I noted these classes seem to be organised by external tuition centres?

Also noted there is violin and ballet on Sat and Sun? Are these called CCAs which we have to get our kids to attend?

I am a new parent for P1 school going kids, appreciate some advice. Thanks.

      Hi Jamesz and awhuang,

Thanks for informing me. I checked the principal’s letter, in Annex 2, it said that " As the time-table has not been finalised, parents are to ensure that pupils bring only the required items listed on first few days of school"
I did not receive the list during orientation. Must have missed me out.
Sigh, have called school, no one seems to be picking up the phone.

Is there anything else important, I should know?

      Hi Oceanic,

Did you receive a list of wat to bring from the sch for 1st 2 days? Besides that, just bring a sandwich or snack in case the queue is long at the canteen. Water bottle & a hanky? Are you taking leave on 1st day? Best to be there for them at least for 1st day.[/quote]

      Hi awhuang,

Thanks for the advice but I did not receive any list from Rosyth on what to pack in her bag? Have noted the school bags sold in the shops are quite big for my girl’s small frame, so I bought one that was much smaller. I will just pack her pencil case and exercise book, plus some food n water for 1st day and will accompany her for first two days or so.
