can’t go to the open house but desperately need to know at the most recent O levels, how did the boys perform? i need to know how many percent score 5 distinctions and above in the school. the website did publish some infor on the school performance but no information on the percentage which scored 5 distinction and above…need that to compare with another school.

my son’s score is 244 plus 1. facing a dilemma now… deciding between putting SJI as first choice , followed by Chung Cheng Main or drop SJI totally and putting Chung Cheng Main as the only choice. distance is not an issue as both are easily accessible from our place.


I am keen on Chung Cheng Main because of its affiliation to Nanyang JC. however, i am not sure if my son will lose out in other aspects ie overall, is SJI a better school in developing him to be a more confident and outgoing (he is a little shy by nature) and also in preparing him academically for the "O" levels…

i asked him last night, and he is more keen on SJI because SJI has the IB track which he can switch to if he performs well in sec 2.

any advice will be greatly appreciated. time is running out for us as we r flying off tomorrow morning so would like to submit at least the first cut by today. thks

It is compulsory to do HMT in sec 1 and 2 but can choose to drop in sec 3 if really cannot cope. I asked the teacher during the open house…

Thanks emoh . that is very helpful. Based on the information that 85 students obtained 6 A1s and assuming these students go to the top 5 jcs , about 21% of the cohort will go to the top 5 jcs. What about the rest? What jcs do majority of the students go to? thks
